How Is This Rating Determined?

Building is falling apart

Great location but otherwise there is a bunch of room for improvement. Elevators are unreliable and often broken. Management seems to be making no effort to fix the issue. Currently one elevator in my building has been broken for over a month, leaving 280 units with only one working elevator. Crime is pretty high, lots of package thefts and furniture and decorations have literally been ripped off the walls in common areas. Management just seems not to care about anything. I would never rent from... a property managed by Embry again and would hope the owners are considering how they can find new competent management. It's getting to the point where these are no longer inconvenient issues but the building is actually becoming unsafe.

Great location, but quality has gone down. For what’s supposed to be a luxury apartment, there’s a lot of flaws. Broken elevators all the time, dirty hallways and security issues.

Lamar Union is a great place to live. The environment is clean, and I feel safe here. Covered parking. Thick walls, I’ve never had an issue with hearing through walls.
