Drugs and Maggots
When I moved into my apartment at Bay Club, I was immediately greeted by a kitchen sink full of maggots. The gate to the property was turned off by management one week into my tenancy due to an impending storm and was not turned back on after the storm passed. This allowed the local homeless population access to the property where they would rummage through the dumpster and leave trash throughout the parking lot. This issue was especially bad at night and left me with an extremely uneasy feeling... when I went to sleep. On my second day at Bay Club, I witnessed an ambulance on the property caring for a person who had overdosed on some sort of drug in the parking lot. The odor of marijuana surrounds my apartment most nights and I have witnessed people walking down the sidewalk smoking joints. I addressed the issue with management and wanted to terminate the lease but their response was I could either fulfil the lease payments or have a broken lease placed on my credit report. I would not recommend Bay Club apartments in any capacity.
