As a current resident I am absolutely not pleased with this apartment complex. I’ve only been here less than a month and I am having issues. First moved in and they still had old toilet seats from the previous resident. I have no stopper for the bath tub and have asked multiple times. There a many reasons to look for other places. Also make sure that you have a pool pass or the leasing office won’t even let you in with ID which is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of.

Not worth it

This is a great apartment and looks very nice. I loved the layout and despite the small size, it was the cheapest nice one I could find in the area. When I got my keys, I went and looked the whole apartment over and on a bedroom wall I found gatherings of black dots and I immediately thought bed bugs. I held off to move anything in until I could have an answer. I had 2 bed bug inspectors come out. The service the apartment uses which told me it wasn't anything to worry about and another bed bug... specialty service and they said that's what it looked like was old excrement. I did not feel comfortable or right about moving in here and yes it was my fault for signing the lease but also I asked multiple times including before I signed and got my keys to clean the unit. It never got professionally cleaned, instead it just got spot cleaned many times after asking to clean it. I never felt welcomed there by one of the girls who worked there.
I was able to get out of the lease by paying to break the lease but they refused to give me any of my money back. This was a break of the lease on their part due to not being move in ready and not taking action on the issue. I did not feel comfortable living here and they just shrugged it off and basically said deal with it. I'm so glad I was able to get out of there. This experience pushed me so far from apartment living.

NOT RECOMMENDED

Managers are horrible. Management treats tenants like they are a burden. Service is unreasonably slow. No urgency when a/c broke with 100+ degree weather. Took almost a week to fix. No electricity to outlets wasnt addressed for 3 months. Dryer broke and no response for weeks. At move in, wasnt provided adequate amount of house keys. Management never gave us the gate code or remotes and could not drive in until another tenant let us in. Management told us they didnt know anything and... couldnt help us with the parcel lockers on property. Emergency water flooding damages from another unit into 3 floors of apartments today on Christmas Eve and Managers were off. Management was off from Dec 23rd. Why? With this level of urgency and the severity of the emergency, no Manager addressed the tenants who were affected by the urgent situation. Only got a text that the water was bring shut off and will let us know when it gets turned back on. Only sunshine in this whole situation is the maintenance guy Tyler who was left to handle this whole mess by himself. He came by to explain and update us on the situation. Did I mention that Managers are horrible? [Emphasis]

Terrible

I have been a resident six years, this is the fourth property management company and the most inefficient, by far.

The phone is never answered, they are severely understaffed. Half of the time you enter the office for help, no leasing consultant is present. They have been reminded a couple months ago about their staffing issues with no improvement or positive changes to speak of. They will vociferously argue their position, and in vain attempt to argumentatively defend their inability to meet...
requirements of maintaining an apartment complex.

Sometimes, the pool is not open in the middle of summer, with excuses galore; it is the emergency phone not working or the water isn't clean enough.

The leasing office management is rude, argumentative and unprofessional. The maintenance technicians take forever to answer urgent requests like the air conditioner not working in peak summer and behave extremely unprofessionally in the leasing office, are arrogant and seem like they haven't been trained in customer service nor care about resident satisfaction.

If you are opted out of the Luxer One package system, your package will not be handed over to you when requested. They are quick to send back packages, despite being unavailable to address walk-ins because of the staffing issues.

At times, the leasing office door is closed with no sign for residents. When it comes time to renew your lease, they will act unusually friendly and days later, it is back to square one.

I would not recommend this property to any future resident; these are existential and systemic issues which may never be resolved.

Don't Live Here Unless You Never Plan On Leaving.

This place is ridiuclous. I relocated to Houston for work. As part of that process I had to pay to get out of my lease. That was a little over 2 grand. On top of this, today I get notice they are trying to charge me 1300 dollars for repairs on my apartment. I signed to have my apartment cleaned for 125.00 after move out. This was never done. I did this beacuse I had to basically leave right when the movers left.

I am not suggesting I left my apartment in perfect condition. I did, however,...
live there for 3.5 years. I don't think any apartment that's been lived in for 3.5 years is going to be perfect. First, they charged me 600 dollars to replace apartment grade carpet with over half of its life span used. My unit was 660 sq ft and had laminate in the kitchen and bathroom. They charged for each individual nail hole. The itemized breakdown was absolutely absured. The itemized each individual nail hole. lol. This is wear and tear.

I didn't mind living here. But I would not suggest this apartment complex to anyone. WestShore clearly is in this only for money. Dealing with the leasing office was hell when I was trying to get documentation for my move. They couldn't even keep track of my move out date. It was nuts.
