COMPLETE NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Parkridge Place Apartments is by far the WORST apartment complex EVER!!!! They completely REFUSED to fix any and all maintenance requests until I called the corporate office in San Antonio. Only then would they address maintenance requests, including replacing our breaker box, even though the owner from Lubbock Appliance informed them that we needed a new breaker box. It took about 3 months, with me dragging my laundry to a laundry mat and wasting $25 a weekend to do our laundry, even though I... have a washer and dryer. My dryer wouldn’t work because I needed a new breaker box. My next-door neighbor told me that they wouldn’t fix anything unless you called the corporate office in San Antonio, and she was right. And no, they do NOT have a laundry mat on the property.
After we turned in our move-out notice, they completely refused to fix anything. They have an extremely high turnover of management and office staff, so no one knows what’s going on. They do NOT care about their tenants!!! They intentionally canceled a LOT of our maintenance requests and every single maintenance request after we turned in our move-out notice in December, even though we didn’t move out until April.
They constantly overcharged us for our water bill because they completely refused to fix water leaks. They canceled those maintenance requests as well. Now, they’re trying to charge me $951 because they completely REFUSED to give us time to clean our apartment after we moved out. They threatened to evict us and have us thrown in jail if we didn’t turn in our keys, after just 1 ½ days of moving. We BARELY got all of our stuff moved out. We had absolutely NO TIME AT ALL to clean anything or they were going to throw us in jail!!!! And now they have put a debt of $951 from a debt collector on my credit report. They are compulsive liars and they’re delusional!!!! If they have any pictures or “proof”, it’s probably not the apartment that we lived. They never had a clue what was going on there. We weren’t even given a form to fill out about the condition of the apartment when we moved in, which I have proof of via an email that I sent to one of the many, many, many people who worked there in the office. I also have proof of our outrageous water bill, which went from $35 a month to $90 a month. As well as screenshots of every single maintenance request that they intentionally canceled. I NEVER canceled ANY of our maintenance requests!

HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE, HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT, HORRIBLE MAINTENANCE!!!!!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have a revolving door of apartment managers, assistant managers and maintenance. The maintenance guys have NO CLUE what they are doing, and they often refuse to attend to maintenance requests. They are extremely unprofessional and childish!!!!! I'm sure that the current apartment manager and assistant manager won't last long!!!!! Just like the others. They are the 3rd since we moved in a year ago. You often have to call the corporate office in San Antonio... to get them to do anything, and even then, that doesn't always work. I've submitted several maintenance requests at the end of December, and they STILL have not addressed them. Obviously, they're extremely incompetent!!!!! I've called the corporate office twice about the maintenance requests, but they still refuse to address them.

Previous maintenance guys also had no idea what they were doing. One lied to me and told me that I needed to buy a new dryer. It wasn't working. Turns out, the breaker box needed to be replaced. After about a month and a half of having to take our laundry to a laundry mat and waste money washing our clothes, I finally decided that I had to call the corporate office. Then they finally replaced my breaker box. Of course, I was never reimbursed for all of the money that I wasted doing laundry at a laundry mat for so long.

Living here has been a total nightmare!!!! Between maintenance requests being ignored to upstairs neighbors smoking marijuana and nothing was ever done about it. I think one previous manager asked them and of course they denied it. Which is extremely stupid, unprofessional and incompetent to ask tenants if they are smoking marijuana. Of course, they're going to lie and deny it. And once again, our toilets were frequently stopped up by this. I guess they empty whatever they have their marijuana in into the toilets and stop ours up constantly. Every single time that I use our toilet snake to unstop either of our toilets, there is always a grey liquid that appears in the toilet. And it's nothing that we put in there!!!!!

This is a HORRIBLE apartment complex, the manager and assistant manager don't care about their tenants, as most apartment complexes here in Lubbock these days. All they care about is money. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! It's not anywhere near nice enough for how much they charge!!!!!

I don't recommend living here!!!

Parkridge Place is a huge pain to live at! First, they lie to you to convince you to move in. Then, once you've signed your lease and moved in, they don't care about you at all. When I signed my lease, I was give a 5% preferred employee discount because I work at Covenant. Then they fired everyone and hired new people. The new people don't want me to have the 5% discount, even though it's on my lease and they've been trying to get that money back any way they can. They're overcharging us for... our water to get the money back. They claimed that it's allocated and that there aren't many people living in our building. Our building is full. Our water usage hasn't changed at all.

When we moved in, we had to call experts to install our washer and dryer. After a long time of ask maintenance to fix our wall outlet, they finally sent someone over here who claimed that I needed to buy a new dryer. I talked to the guys who installed it and the owner himself came here & determined that I needed a new breaker box. He said that if I bought a new dryer, it still wouldn't work.  I had to go a laundry mat for about a couple of months, wasting $175 to do our laundry because they wouldn't replace our breaker box. I had to call the corporate office in San Antonio to complain before they finally installed a new breaker box. I still have never been given $175 in credit for the money I wasted at a laundry mat when they refused to replace our breaker box. They even canceled my maintenance request about the wall outlet for our dryer.

Every time I call the office, they won't answer. They have called ID and they ignore my calls. I know this for a fact because I called them from my cell phone while I was work and they didn't answer. Then I used a phone at work and they answered immediately.

Our upstairs neighbors smoke marijuana on a regular basis but they refuse to do anything about it. I even called the police, but still nothing was done. I can't use the toilet in my master bathroom because it is ALWAYS getting stopped up from their marijuana. It's a HUGE pain living here!!!! The bedrooms are tiny and so are the bathrooms.

My mom has been paying my rent because I don't make very much money. My mom has dementia and she is being moved to an assisted living facility in San Antonio soon. All of her money will go to them.  The people here at Parkridge Place don't care at all and they will happily evict us. They refuse to work with us on the price of our rent.

Don't live here

We just moved in on February 18th. When we looked into the apartment we were told the bottom floor would be hard wood and the top floor would be carpet. When we got to our apartment that was not the case and the amount of things wrong with the apartment was ridiculous. The toilets not working, doors not working, cabinets being broken, corroded shower heads, tilted water heater, etc. Worse place I've ever lived not to mention that the staff won't help with anything.
