Like Living in a House of Cards

I don't even know where to begin: this place was an atrocity. The building may look aesthetically pleasing, but as the cliche goes: don't judge a book by its cover.

The place is of poor, almost laughable, construction. I say almost laughable because while the construction errors you'll encounter are amazing, you have to realize it's your safety at stake, and that's why it's not completely laughable. The corner cutting here was unbelievable. The builders were in such a rush to have this place...
occupied; they forget not to create fire hazards! The dryer ventilation pipes, for example, didn't even go outside. They ended up routed into the crawlspace between the ceiling and floor of adjoining apartments. Not only did this create a constant layer of extremely hot air rife with flammable lint but also moisture which then accumulated onto the ceiling below. The master bedroom in my apartment caved in! Thankfully, my roommates weren't at home when it did, but we took this to management, they didn't care. They then tried to blame it on us!

Management was a joke! They paraded around like this place was Shangri-La. They took nobody's complaints seriously, and the property manager couldn't have been more absent-minded. It was a nightmare!

The walls and floors were paper thin. I heard EVERYTHING in the neighboring apartments: babies crying, dogs scampering, televisions, etc. I couldn't wait to leave.

Then, one day, lightning struck, and the internet went offline. It caused chaos. People couldn't work from home, and both my roommate and I had to go elsewhere to do our jobs. This didn't last a day. No, this lasted weeks with management concocting some cheery demeanor about it while everyone was livid.

This place is not worth your time, energy, money, or patience. Don't bother!

Love living here

We’ve lived here for six months and love it. Management is quick to respond to any concerns that have come up and we have had great service done by the maintenance team. Landscaping is very nice and the property is very clean. Very dog friendly which is a huge plus from me! Also quiet at night... almost too quiet but the commercial property next door is adding two bars so that will change! It’s the up and coming coolest place to live in New Braunfels!

Nope

I HATE living here. Especially now with the new management. Since day one, there's been issues on issues with this place. I'm writing this to vent because currently I'm stressed out about the internet still not working. The internet, cable and washer/dryer is included in your rent which is wonderful when they actually work. The internet has been down now for 2-3 weeks now which I depend on because I'm a student. Aside from that, the place is just falling apart. The elevators are always down. The... gates are always broken. I tried to leave for work the other day and I couldn't even EXIT the gate without a clicker resulting in me being late for work. Awesome. Paying rent is now a nightmare, especially if you have a roommate because you can't pay in a split payment. You also can't pay with your bank account unless you set it to auto draft the entire amount. Before it was so awesome because you could pay your portion from a CC or bank and it saved the payment. The staff are incredibly forgetful and rude. We've had to ask for the same things to get done multiple times which ends up delaying everything (replacing the washer which took almost TWO WEEKS, replacing a key, etc.) We've also called a million times about a neighbor who loves to leave their dog on the patio at 8am on the weekends resulting in it barking it's head off and waking everyone up. Nothing seems to change. My friends motorcycle was stolen and they did nothing about it. The wouldn't even give the survallience of it so she could make sure it wasn't someone she knew. I ran into the "security guard" in the elevator and he shurrged his shoulder saying "eh nothing we can do." Super awesome. Now the little things...The pool light has been out for a week now and it's super dark when you're trying to swim or hangout. The office is always out of paper or the printer is broken (again I'm a student and really needed to utilize this amenitie.) There's a water machine in the gym with never any water and it's been like that since we've moved in. The "free coffee" that they offer is never stocked. Not to sound like a diva but we're paying a hefty price to live in this place and it's been one huge headache. When we first moved in they sweetened us up with all the awesome amenities and perks only to find out is was BS. We still have 6 months left and I've already put a deposit down on another place just to help see the light at the end of the tunnel. Just don't live here.

Beautiful Apartment, but be wary.

The amenities are wonderful and the apartments look beautiful in the pictures. However, once you get past the initial looks, the building has been very poorly constructed. I have lived here for about 6 or 7 months and the noise is unbearable from all directions. If you can't find an apartment on the top floor, its not worth it. The carpet has began to bubble up, something in the apartment above mine leaked and the ceiling is stained and maintenance has done absolutely nothing to fix it; every... week something else needs to be fixed but it won't get done. This place is not worth the money. BUT there is currently a change in ownership going on so I have hopes things may get better soon.
