The worst. Incredibly outdated, horrible at every turn from the staff, to the actual depressing living areas. Pools are not filled or operable, laundry machines are consistently broken, single air wall unit cannot cool the whole apt, no shower rod or toilet paper holder, windows dont lock, on and on.

I have lived at Arroyo for about 3 years !! It’s is under new management and they have stepped up and showed out . The apartments are being renovated, the amenities are being upgraded and it’s a safe place to live . Tiffany, Porsche, and the maintenance crew are the best if you have any problems they will solve them for you !! Oh did I mention it’s also pet friendly!! It’s also close to all major shopping centers, schools and Parks …

I lived here for a year and it was a pleasure. Any issue I had was dealt with immediately whether a maintenance issue or other. Kenzy is such a pleasure to talk to. You won’t be disappointed. It’s quiet, clean, affordable, and great people as neighbors. My only reason for moving is I’m so spoiled to having my in house laundry facilities I got a house instead of here. I was torn about moving. The grounds are maintained very well and worked daily. It’s close to everything you might want to do yet... in a quiet spot. I mean you can walk across the street to eat or even visit a dentist! Walking park like a block away. Salon within walking distance. Dog park, tennis courts, exercise facility (although I didn’t use ??) pools, picnic areas…right there on the property. Locked mail stations almost at your fingertips and a mail drop box in the little strip mall parking lot right across Clare Dr near the office. I mean it’s the perfect place for anyone. Thank you Arroyo Square for making my first San Angelo living such a wonderful experience. I will miss Arroyo Square Apartments for sure!

I've lived in Arroyo Square Apartments for two months now and am very happy that I found this place. The location is great, right in the center of the west side of San Angelo (the newer/more modern half). It's only a 2-3 minute drive from Loop 306, HEB, Starbucks, and a good selection of restaurants. It's also right across the street from a good bar (the Penny Taphouse) and a Hibachi restaurant (Ichiban). The management is helpful helpful and responsive, the laundry rooms are easy to access, and... the covered parking is a God-send whenever it's really hot or raining. The buildings are also intelligently designed so that you have as little wall-connection with the adjacent units as possible, in case you're worried about loud or obnoxious neighbors. I'll always be grateful to the staff because when I first got stationed here I had very little time to check out apartments in-person. From the research I did online, I could tell Arroyo Square was a cut above the rest for its price range. Since I had to start work soon after getting here, I was running out of time to find a place, and the closest opening Arroyo had would have been 15 days out from when the Air Force would stop paying for my hotel stay. Instead of sending me away, the management at Arroyo expedited the apartment prep process and allowed me to move in ASAP. They had planned to offer me a cheaper but not-as-nice apartment for a lower rate but weren't able to provide it because of issues with evicting the tenant. Instead of charging me full-price for an upgraded apartment, they were generous enough to keep their word and provide me a nicer one at a discounted rate. That saved me a lot of time, money, and stress, and I'm really thankful that there are people in this town who are willing to to help out military folks and provide us flexibility. If GAFB is your next assignment, I definitely recommend checking out this place. It's not furnished, but you gotta buy furniture at some point, and the military will move it for you anyways. Arroyo also has shorter time options available, from 6-12 months, which is nice since some places will turn away military folks because they want tenants to stay for at least one year. They also provide a 5% "heroes discount" to military folks!
