Management does not care about their residents

Been living here for 9 years. Just renewed our lease because we haven't foind a new place. The previous manager took good care of the residents. The management for the past couple of years do not care about their tenants. Maintenance came into our apartment while we were out of town because of a "water leak". We turned our A/C off while we were gone.
They turned on our A/C to 62 degrees and left it on for the last 10 days we were gone. Even if we forgot to turn our A/C off, we never set it...
below 71 degrees. This was beginning of May so it's pretty hot by that time. I get they probably wanted to work in a cooler environment, but setting it to 62 & leaving it on, knowing we were out of town (cause we told the office and didn't really want them in there while we were gone), was not right. WE have to pay that electric bill for the A/C running that much. Things happen, people forget, people make pistakes, we get that, but OWN it and MAKE IT RIGHT. Don't just dismiss our complaint & do nothing. Beware if you rent here.

DO NOT ACCEPT A UNIT IN BLDG 7 or 8. There is a bar on the other side of the fence that plays loud live music some weekends and they will not turn it down and the police or apt office will not do anything. We have called and complained numerous times.

Don’t move here!

I loved this place when I first moved in , back in 2009. But then corporate took over and things have gone downhill ever since. It was built in the 70’s and has serious maintenance issues. In my case, it’s the plumbing. I have lost count of the number of times I’ve had leaks in my place or above me that cause water damage. And I don’t even wanna know what kind of mold is growing behind the walls. Whenever there’s a problem, the office is not very compassionate or responsive. Lack of... communication is also a terrible problem. Maintenance is overworked. They should have way more people on staff for a property this size. And when maintenance finally does come, they just patch it the cheapest way they can instead of actually addressing the cause. So of course something happens again eventually. Surprise surprise. I’m so ready to move. I’m just done.

Horrible experience

Roaches and lots of them! I have them spray every chance that i get at least once a month if not more and I still have the infestation. There is even roaches in the fridge, freezer and inside the dishwasher after I just run the machine. If you enjoy roaches crawling on you at night then this is the place for you.
If you enjoy management giving out your apartment key and mailbox key to unauthorized people then this is also the place for you.
If you enjoy having to deal everyday with a problem...
tenant that cusses at you, feeds the stray cats, possums, and raccoons, puts nails under your tires and other tenants, and just making your place that you pay rent for a hostile living area then this is the place for you. FYI she didn't have a lease or was on anybody else's.
If you enjoy having your refrigerator go out and being handed a small ice chest to keep your food from going bad till maintenance can get to it 3 days later then this is the place for you. By the way you have to provide your own ice.
I have been in some run down areas in my 20 years of rental history but never had an experience as bad as this one. I wish I never would have found this place.

Poor

We moved in aug2014, &immediately found a roach problem. After informing maintenance that we would like a time&date of when they'd show so either my fiancé or myself could take off work they still wouldn't show on the date scheduled&enter whenever they felt like it. We lived on the 2nd floor w/our lab &she's rather hyper. We were always being called by the manager about noise complaints only after our new downstairs neighbor moved in. I had to get out of work to come home&take my dog out of her... kennel because supposedly ALL my neighbors were calling in noise complaints about her barking. When I pulled up there was NO baking&NO cars parked around our building except my downstairs neighbor. One day when I had company over my downstairs neighbor came up to my door banging loudly insisting I lower down the noise because she was tying to sleep. I brought this to the managers attention of how embarrassing it was in front of my guest &myself ¬hing was done. I confronted my downstairs neighbor not to bang on my door like that again or else I'll keep complaining to management and was told "do whatever you want! My moms the manager!" Lol well that explained everything! Feb2015 we received notice that we'd have to move out so our flooring could be redone&then we would be able to move back in. This was a HUGE inconvenience! We were promised a "ready to move in apartment". They then offered us to move into the 1st floor appartment in the same building but would have to lease another year! We just wanted to finish out the rest of the lease and leave. It took about a month just to get the OK while we lived in an unstable flooring appartment. Also my brand new car that we had just purchased was keyed within the same month. Nothing could be done because there's no surveillance. There is so many other problems we encountered living here. Even after paying for pet damages in the first appartment, we were still billed for pet damages from the 1st and 2nd appartment after moving out!
