Don’t, just don’t!
I have lived here for 3 years and will be leaving in October. Let me start by stating the units are in complete disrepair. Just walking around the complex it is evident that up keep is no longer a priority. I have turned in work orders and they go completely unanswered. Amenities they list are a joke. I had a fireplace in my unit for which I paid a “premium.” They sent out a notice telling us that they were doing maintenance to fix the fireplaces. I came home from work to find the... fireplace had been covered over with sheet rock. Removing is not fixing! And the alteration was not reflected in the price of the unit. The pool has been closed more time than it has been open for the time I have lived here. That seriously is not an exaggeration. They don’t use a pool service they just have their maintenance staff attempt to care for the pool and they obviously are swimming in the deep end and way over their heads because it isn’t working. Let’s talk about landscaping and yard maintenance. We went 6 weeks last summer without the lawn being mowed! The big freeze killed a lot of stuff and that isn’t managements fault but not removing the dead or replacing is their fault. There are several beautiful large trees but occasionally really big limbs have fallen and it took management over two weeks to have them cleared. There was a brick privacy fence/wall that fell into the parking lot and it was there for 3 weeks! Maintenance didn’t even clear the bricks out of the way for cars to drive out. I’m a big guy and I was a Marine so I really don’t worry about my safety but I definitely wouldn’t want my daughter to live here. The lighting at night is nonexistent. Honestly there is just so much wrong here. I don’t know what they are doing with the maintenance budget but it isn’t being utilized as it should be. Which leads me to my largest complaint. The office management. First thing is you never see them out of their offices. Other complexes you see the management touring the complex to see the condition and just checking to see if things are being taken care of - not here! The only time you see them is if they are showing the “model” unit (which by the way, looks NOTHING like the unit they will put you in) or you can make it to the office during their office hours. When you do venture to the office to speak with them they are rude and condescending. They do not listen to understand, they are automatically forming their rebuttal to your concern.
