Read the "fine print"
After seeing the renovations I decided to apply but was told I would have to apply online and select an apartment for holding. What I overlooked and what wasn't verbally told to me while I was in the office that you have 72 hours after being approved that you could not get your holding fee back like its a house or a condo I was purchasing. They are apartments for rent. I'm sure the apartment will be filled in JULY once the apartment is renovated. After being told a manager would call me back... last Thursday cause she has a choice to refund it back to me or not never did so have called for 2 days to finally get someone on the phone to repeat the same thing about the $255 holding fee not being refundable. They don't have any signatures from me accepted the apartment and will not refund it back. I found a nicer and cheaper apartment (much bigger space) and decided not to move to Chesapeake Pointe and glad I didn't not to because of the office staff nonchalant attitudes that were given.
