About this Rental

Thank you for your interest in Azure Apartments in Bremerton, WA! We are an apartment community located in West Bremerton. The West Bremerton neighborhood sits at the center of the Kitsap Peninsula's largest city, home to the historic Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Olympic College and a bustling revitalized waterfront. The neighborhood captures a unique aesthetic by bringing together a diverse population of Naval employees, college students and downtown commuters looking for a combination of low home prices and access to recreation. Nine parks meander through the neighborhood, which since 2000 has grown into the central place in Kitsap County for cultural diversity, education and unique quality of life. In West Bremerton, spotting the occasional frolicking Orca pod is almost as common as hopping the ferry for the hour-long ride to Seattle or hitting a neighborhood trail for a forest hike. With easy access to the freeway, we are minutes from military bases and the Seattle ferry. Commuters also have the convenience of our location on a major bus line. Our residents enjoy the spectacular lifestyle and scenery that accompanies life on the Olympic Peninsula.

Conveniently located within walking distance to the main Naval Station gate. Azure offers a convenient location adjacent to West Bremerton shops, cafes, and hot spots. Callow Avenue -- home to The Charleston, Cafe Corvo, and more -- is a short walk away.

How Is This Rating Determined?

Overall I cannot recommend living here

Positive:
*A short walk from downtown Bremerton and the ferry (30-ish minute walk), and right by the shipyard if you work there. There's also a bus stop to downtown. (See the Negative list re: driving)
*Recent renovations mean the appliances are in good condition (though the stainless steel is hard to wipe smudges off)
*Great maintenance people

Negative:
*Management often doesn't respond to emails/calls. (Maybe in part due to the high turnover rate of the apt managers?)
*The reason I moved in...
was because the apartments were affordable, but my rent jumped up by 25% and now it's the rate of a Seattle apartment.
*I suffered a year with a neighbor who blasted music at any hour of the day & night and was completely unresponsive when other neighbors would knock, shout, etc. The police were even called once, around midnight, he turned the music off until the cops left and then started right back up. Multiple complaints but no replies from management.
*There's technically enough parking, but spots aren't assigned, and if you aren't lucky enough to get one of the few spots in front, you're stuck with cramped spots in the alley, which are hard to get in and out of. If you live in one of the units by the alley, you'll sometimes hear people bumping/scraping other cars as they try to leave or pull in.
*Since the apartment is right by the shipyard, it's really difficult to drive anywhere when the shifts change at the shipyard. You'll also get lots of noise through your walls from the bumper to bumper traffic at those times.
*There is a local who regularly wanders the alley screaming obscenities, day and night, and screams slurs at anyone she happens to see.
*Management WILL overcharge you on move-out fees. They expect you to live in a bare-walled cell of an apartment or else pay them half a grand when you leave.
*A smoke alarm is above the oven, only ~a foot off from being directly over it. It's very sensitive and will go off from the heat of opening the warm oven (no smoke), steam from draining pasta noodles in the sink, etc. If you like to cook, you're going to be hearing a LOT from the alarm.
*The mailbox area gets tons of flies when the weather is warm. It's GROSS, and they crawl through the wide gaps between your door and the doorframe into your apartment.

Be wary of renting here. Management stopped allowing half-year leases a couple years ago, and I'm confident it's because they want to limit options for people who realize this place is overpriced.

Horrible apartments.

The management here is horrible, they don’t ever call back or communicate. They allow people to smoke weed and cigarettes in the apartments which leaks through and will make your apartment smell even though the contract has "no smoking allowed”.

They won’t communicate on whether or not they take your packages or mail and they do not help when you need it. The price may be good to those looking but the apartment is basically a studio , not worth the money or the time to lease with this company...
who doesn’t care or share compassion for the people paying for their living. Horrible horrible apartment management.

Nice place, Living Bode unresponsive

Newly renovated so nice stainless steel appliances, cabinets, flooring and bathroom. My only gripe about this place is the people who manage it, Living Bode, are not helpful. Don't bother calling them because it goes to voicemail and no one will ever return your call. Email them and you might get a response in a week and a half, but don't bother following up because they won't respond. Took me 2 months and an upset email just to get an Amazon hub locker code with no response to the email. Just... go to to the leasing office? Nope, they're closed despite covid restrictions letting up. Nice place for the price, but dealing with management is a nightmare. Won't be renewing lease.

Read before considering

Do you love marinading in your sweat all day knowing that crackheads and sketchy neighbors are snooping around that “secure parking lot” and going through the trash and using metal coat hangers to open a car that you don’t know if it’s theirs or not? Do you love coming home after a long day of work and not being able to find parking cause this place doesn’t enforce their parking sticker policy. Did you find that amazing door mat that you can’t wait to put on your front door, take it from me,... don’t put it down otherwise your neighbors dog will use it as a puppy pad. Do you love sleep? Well you won’t get any here cause the unemployed folks will keep you up all night blasting their rap through their overkill of a surround sound. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere cause this place is not worth the headache.
