Clearwater Apartments Captiol Hill Seattle
The Clearwater Apartments is located in Seattle in the Capitol Hill district. It is conveniently located a few blocks from Seattle University, Swedish Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center. I would have to say everything is within a 10-20 minute walk to the grocery store, Pike St., even the International District. I do not have a car and don't really need one unless you like adventuring outside the city, but it does make everything easier. There is not a lot of street parking around the... area due to nearby construction taking it up, but you require a zone 7 pass or else you'll get a ticket. The apartment has their own garage and the last I heard it was $100 a month additionally. The mail boxes are located as you enter through the secured gate - which they will give you a pass code for. Large packages generally get delivered to the back office of the property manager and you can sign them out. Most days they will be there around 9-5:30 PM but depending on how they feel they could leave early or go on extended lunch breaks. During the weekends packages might be placed by the mailboxes since the office is closed and people generally leave other's packages alone.
Now the apartment it's self is alright, it's relatively new and good for the money. When I was moving in the apartment was not that clean as I could find hair (dog or human?) all over the apartment - in the bathroom, in drawers and in the refrigerator. There were still scratches on the wall, a shabby painting job (unsure if it was the apartment company or the previous tenant). The unit comes with a washer and dryer that is pretty good, my dryer was a little messed up in the beginning with rattling parts and the previous tenant duct taped god knows what. The kitchen does not come with a microwave and has adequate shelf space and counter space. It comes with a dishwasher as well which functions.
My unit comes with a "veranda" except I'm on the ground floor and has a double door that extends out, but it has no screen and bugs and what not can come in. This is actually the only airflow into my apartment as the window would be where this door is. So at night it can get a little hot considering I don't want to leave a door open through the night.
The bathroom is alright, I was missing another towel rack and they did a shabby job covering up the screw holes. The bathtub is fine except that somehow parts of the tub was chipped and dented.
It's a good place to live for the price and location.
