How Is This Rating Determined?

Application process lacks transparency

I am not a resident here, but once applied for a unit at this property. I have wasted $40 application fee with it, and want to warn other applicant about their application process.

I found the property online, and saw they have an available unit. I contacted their leasing agent Gerry. Gerry confirmed me with availiability, move-in date, price, and sent me several photos of the unit. I'm good with the unit and submitted application after that. Three days later when I asked Gerry again about the... application, he told the unit has been rented to another applicant. Being asked by Gerry to consider other properties managed by their company, but I refused with his options as I feel their business practice lacks transparency about what is going on.
