A Nice Apartment, but Bad Management spoils it
I've lived here for several years, and the spacious apartments and nice location drew me in. Unfortunately many things have drew me out:
-Management does not communicate nor take care of things.
-The elevator was broken for 2+ months, and only after many weeks did we get any notice about it or anything being done to fix it.
-There was a break-in inside the garage because of an unsecured door to the outside. Management never notified us, a resident had to make their own signs and put them in... the elevator and on each floor.
-If you need to dispose of anything large (furniture), you’re on your own. The office will not arrange anything (even with their existing waste disposal services) and the city has told me that they (the property) are responsible for these pickups, not covered by the city.
-General lack of consideration for their residents in the decisions they make, things are worse now than 2 years ago, but we’re paying more than ever. Why?
-Rent increases yearly with no justification, over the past 2 years rent has increased 12% for me despite being told rent increases were “negligible” during a tour of the complex. No improvements or renovations have been done in this time - the property continues to get dirtier and management does nothing. The halls regularly have trash in them and more stains appear weekly.
Bottom line: There are far better managed properties with similar accommodations & apartments for less, even on the same street. A high-potential complex spoiled by bad management. I will not stay anywhere managed by Inland Real Estate - they’re the root of the problem.
