Do not live here

Terrible place to live I’m currently counting down the days for my lease to end so I can move out of this building. Paper thin walls, elevator always out, charge for you to park your car, once the initial excitement of moving into a new building wears off it’s very clear they rushed getting this building together and are just trying to get as much money as possible . I wouldn’t recommend anyone live here unless the owners of the building changed

faux luxury living

The view is cool, but that wears off very fast when you realize the walls are paper thin. You can hear the hvac kick on and off all night. If you sleep in silence this is not the place for you. You can lay in bed and listen to your neighbors watch tv. They do not allow you full control of your hvac in the winter. It will remain at a steady 75 degrees. The sun will bake your apartment and push it upwards of 80 degrees even in the winter. The bedroom traps air and you must run an industrial... fan at all times or you will be sweating all night. The worst part of this place is the property manager targets the whole building if there is one single problem. For example if someone leaves trash in a public area then the management will refuse to pick it up and send a mass email to everyone. I just found this to be anti luxury. I’m not responsible for other residents. The elevator also went out every single month I lived here. Management doesn’t take responsibility but instead directs you to go on the portal and put in a request for the elevator repair yourself haha. Keep in mind most of the time it took atleast 2 days before the elevator would be repaired. Also if your heat goes out the “emergency” service will take 1-2 days at minimum to be resolved. The best part of Mackson corner is they will change lease policy halfway through and increase your fees with less than a month of notice. Beware they wrote their contract very loosely so they can make changes and charge you more at any point in your lease. If you get upset about this, they will breach your contract. Also they dna test all dogs for poop and then charge you 200$ if any poop is returned as your dog. There is 3 strike policy and they will have your dog removed after the third time. The best amenity of this apartment is the steam washer and dryer. This thing is one machine and you will not believe how long it takes to fully wash and dry your clothes. 3 hours for a wash and dry but it comes out soaked so you have to do 2 more dry cycles which is approximately 4 hours. You will be looking at 7 hours minimum to complete a small load of laundry. It may work for you if you don’t mind air drying. I almost forgot the best part. They charge you for surface parking and require you to move your car in a snowstorm two blocks away and expect you to walk on the unplowed sidewalks back to your LUXURY apartment. If you love a good view but don’t value sleep then this is the place for you.

Luxury views and Amenities

This place is in the perfect location. Everything is brand new, great style, great views of the river and the bike path. It’s within walking distance of downtown and also not far from the shopping malls. It’s ran very smoothly thanks to the management and staff here. Highly recommended.

Amazing Views and Nice Amenities

Pros: You can't be the views of water, parks, sunrises and sunsets from the rooftop lounge or river-side units. The guest lounge has comfy furniture and movie channels when you want to entertain. The secure bike room, covered parking and work-out room (also with water views) are all great. The landscaping and large parking lot are nice too.
Cons: We live in a fishbowl. The blinds provide good privacy in the day but none at night. The owners will let you purchase your own window coverings and...
install them for you, if you don't want the whole world seeing your life after dark. There's also no sound-proofing; you can hear everything from the units around you. The units look pretty but they cut some corners to cut their construction costs.
Pros: The property managers are very responsive and communicative, and do whatever they can to accommodate within budget. The common areas are kept very clean. Easy access to river-side walking and biking trails. Overall, a great place to live.
