Current Tenant Review
The apartment building and individual unit are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing. The property is kept clean and there are no significant issues to report regarding the physical condition. However, concerns arise with the management of the complex. There appears to be a high turnover rate among staff, with frequent changes in personnel who seem dissatisfied in their roles.
The property is owned by a large management company that prioritizes financial gain over the well-being of tenants... . The rental criteria appear lenient, suggesting a focus on filling units rather than fostering a stable tenant community. Furthermore, there is a lack of consideration for existing residents when implementing rent increases. As a tenant who has resided here for a year, enduring construction disruptions and unfulfilled promises of amenities, justification for a substantial rent hike is absent. The cited improvements used to rationalize the increase are features that should have been completed prior to my move-in date last year.
A nearly 14% rent increase after just one year, amidst ongoing construction and incomplete amenities, demonstrates a disregard for tenant loyalty and the financial impact such a significant adjustment may have on residents' ability to remain in the complex. In the long term, this approach may lead to a decline in the quality of the apartments, as high tenant turnover could result in deteriorating conditions over time. Greater attention to tenant retention and reasonable pricing adjustments would benefit both residents and the sustained upkeep of the property.
