Rise Lakeview Apartments

I shopped around properties in the area and found none that had the value plus the finish in the apartments that Rise has. For the price, no other property I toured had the marble finish in the bathrooms, the high ceilings with lots of natural light, the location with great freeway access and nice restaurants. Other apartments had more amenities, but as I belong to a fitness club nearby, it made no sense to me to pay at least $500/month more to live in smaller, darker apartment just for the... under equipped gym. A few months ago I would not have written this review. But in the last few months there have been huge improvements. The maintenance has been efficient and effective, the common areas are cleaned regularly, and the management have been much more responsive. I'm a value for money person so this places works for me. Too expensive, horrible and lazy management, loud environment,

Each floor has a horrendous smell. The flooring in the hallways are stained and gross. The elevator rarely works. One door doesn’t lock and let’s homeless people in to stay for the night. They allow you to move into these with scratches on the floor, horrible frayed carpet in areas with stains you can see they tried to “clean” out.

The noise was constant and unbearable for anyone that works a normal 8-5 job. The people that would come by at around 2-3 AM would wake me up. There is a motorcycle gang that goes by and reves their engine loudly, and then the random cars that would blast their music and base so high that it shakes your walls. The parking lot is always full and you can’t find a spot unless you get off early. The maitence was slow and would take weeks to fix something. The lease office was full of rude and... sarcastic individuals that do not care for their residents safety or well being. I would not live here or anywhere owned by Southside Apartment Company. if you rent a place here, good luck with finding a parking spot. i rented for almost a year. parking over the weekend is a special issue. they have a gated parking but the gate seldom works, so it stays open for anyone to come in and park. because of the retail space with babaloo and sky lounge, their employee also use gated resident parking as a valet parking sometimes. i actually confronted them once and it didn't go well. we also requested multiple times to the apartment office and they say... they will fix it soon..... they will leave flyers with towing number if we see a non-resident park in resident area. But they don't understand that how would anyone one know who is a resident and who is not. I even don't know who is living across me. worst. worst. you may have to park on street couple blocks away over weekend if you choose to live here.
