CASH GRAB

They only care about business and making money and you'll be treated as such. I have raised my concerns with several of the management employees numerous times and always given the runaround.

Charging for parking, fine... i get it to an extent but a flat $7 rate and starting at 9pm is a joke. Should allow you to select a time you're leaving. None of my friends or family come visit anymore. Thanks for that.

got rid of all the pool lounge chairs. theres maybe 10 of them out there, want to get...
some sun on a nice day? better get out there by 10am to get a char. If one family beats you out there, forget it.

they did not pro-rate rent while every amenity was under construction for 6 months.

the gym? it barely qualifies as a gym and if so, equipment is always broken. They remodeled and didnt bother to put in new equipment

I went to use the new theater a few days ago and the surround sound doesnt work. NOTHING EVER WORKS HERE.

Its a shame the new management has ruined a beautiful property. All the amenities are a facade

Oh yeah, price goes up 10% every year cause they truly dont care. they do it cause they can.

Over priced as is, let alone any of the above.

1 star is generous. STAY AWAY.

STAY CLEAR AWAY

Well along with everything everyone else is saying on here - only security at night, PAY to park (the 2 bedroom used to come with 2 spots, now only 2 and $75/mo for second spot AND GUESTS HAVE TO PAY $7 a night to stay!) NOW THEY HAVE RAISED RENT $500 IN A MONTH!! It’s not worth it. The “library” is just decorating with some random books, the gym is smaller, the theater is cool but don’t plan on a night movie & the pool is exactly the same for this OVER 10% RAISE IN RENT!! They find new things... to charge you for every month and raise the rent.. oh also it’s 29 days so they can charge you EVEN MORE on the months with 30 & 31 days. STAY AWAY!!!!!!! NOBODY IS HAPPY IN HERE WITH THIS NEW MANAGEMENT & SOME HAVE EVEN TAKEN THEM TO COURT!! ITS BAD!!

Painful experience under new Ownership

Charge guests for parking! Put giant green stickers on their cars or tow out of nowhere. You will hate living here and your friends won't bother visiting as it is just too difficult. They are max rent raisers and amenities are constantly closed. Just say NO to Atrio!

Not family friendly and they charge for everything

TLDR? They're removing amenities that drew you here in the first place and will raise your rent 10% in return. Save the money and look elsewhere.

When I first found Empire Landing (now Atrio) I fell in love. It felt like a Hawaiian oasis. There was lots of green space for my daughter to run around in with the neighbor kids and plants to filter the city air! The price was reasonable and my complaints were few. But then... COVID happened and the property was sold to Westfield and everything has...
been getting worse. What changed?

1) Guest parking which used to be easy and free, now requires you to register your guest's car and driver info, and charges $7 if they stay overnight. Not a problem if you don't want family or friends to visit. Also, the 2-bed units got one of their free parking spots taken away and are now charged $75/month to keep it.

2) That green space that you fell in love with during the tour? Don't get used to it. The property manager confirmed they're ripping up the grass and removing privacy shrubbery to put in concrete fire pits. They also removed tables and much needed shade at the pool, instead they have fancy looking furniture that looks nice in photos but is uncomfortable in the desert summer sun/heat. (Dark colors absorb heat!)

3)They closed the pool, gym and business center for renovations while simultaneously raising rent 10% for current renters. Didn't you know living in a construction zone with half the amenities is the newest luxury trend? Unless your salary goes up 10% every year, you'll be priced out of your unit within a year or two. Don't expect loyalty for being a reasonable and long term tenant. But back to the renovations... the pool looks exactly the same as before the "reno" except the showers are now missing hardware and there's dead wildlife painted into the deck! The gym will be smaller than it was because they took half the space to convert to a movie theater (I'll be surprised if they don't charge extra to use it). They also removed the business center in favor of an open layout co-working space... because who needs privacy?

4) They fired the 24/7 security patrol and replaced them with a "new and improved" overnight ONLY security patrol. The old patrol used to walk the premises all the time and were always super helpful. This new patrol ... I NEVER see them.

Most of the families that were here moved because the prices have gone too high and the policy changes don't justify the price increases.
