Brooklake Review
I lived in a one bedroom at Brooklake for 5 years and never had any issues. The apartment was fairly large with standard appliances (yes some are dated). The grounds are well kept, they do allow dogs and yes there are a few people who do not pick up after the dog even though the community has provided several posts with bags. Both the office and maintenance are amazing, they handled all my requests immediately. I will actually miss their professionalism the most. They have four laundry rooms... which are all busy on the weekends, but they are 24 hour a day access so try and do your laundry at different times. I believe the cost is similar to laundromats, bonus is no quarters are needed you can use your credit card or debit card. They have a small gym and sauna, which are a nice bonus and two pools and a couple of grills for residents to use. Parking for visitors is nonexistent, visitors need to park across the street on Las Riendas Dr and run across Harbor. I never had a problem with other residents parking in my assigned spot but my parking space was towards the back of the complex. With regards to cars and storage in the carports being broken into, this is something that can happen anywhere. Don’t leave valuables visible in your car and don’t store anything of real value in the storage area located in the carport, these are made of plywood and can be easily broken into. The cleaning fee is a bit expensive upon move out. They charge a general cleaning and carpet cleaning fee. After all the cleaning fees and the residual utilities you will probably receive less than half of your deposit back. Overall I enjoyed living at Brooklake.
