horrible management

We disregarded the reviews but all of them are reliable. Bad management, they will not help you with issues, you will be asked to call and schedule an appt rather than taking action. No response on emails or any update with some constructions. Parking is not good, it is a public parking, homeless can enter. There are a lot of renters who got their car broken without managements action and when you complain and want the cctv footages, they will tell u it’s a blind sppt etc. Also, security is not... 24/7 and shortage, no one patrolling to make sure place is safe.

Management is not dependable!

The hallways are filthy and on a weekly basis the trash shoots are overflowing and smell. There are also constant issues with the parking system that resulted in our frequently getting stuck in the building because the system was broken and there was never anyone that could be reached to assist. If you need help with anything from the management, you have to call and call and call because they hardly answer the phones and don't return messages you leave. Definitely do not recommend.

FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO LIVE

Lived in this building for 3 years, and after keeping my place incredibly clean with very little wear and tear, Broadway charged me over 300 dollars for a cleaning fee and kept the other 300 dollars of my security deposit to cover "repairs" that were not even done before I lived in my unit.

Stay away! Not only will they take your security deposit even if you are a model tenant, but your packages will definitely get stolen, you will be kept up at night by loud parties on the rooftop, and...
security does nothing to keep out large groups of people who seemingly have no connection to the building.

When I initially moved in, during COVID in 2020, this place was WAY cheaper than the other luxury communities in DTLA. Now, the prices are NOT worth dealing with management and the other annoying components of the property.

AVOID THIS PLACE.

I've lived here for almost 3 years, and I regret it completely.

Just about everything that seems great about this apartment while touring is a facade. It's noisy, it's loud, packages get stolen, plenty of people off the street get into the apartment walk the halls and use the amenities, building and garage can be disgusting and littered with trash, etc.

All of this continues to go on as management doesn't seem to effectively know how to fix things.

I unfortunately stayed in this apartment...
over ease of not having to move everything in my life, but I wish I had just picked up and left. There's been some recent real safety concerns on property, and the building will not only not address it but won't let you break your lease despite fearing for personal safety and being an outstanding resident for years.

AVOID THIS PLACE. Plenty of other great properties downtown that aren't as overrun and don't operate as cash grabs.

IF YOU CARE ABOUT FEELING SAFE IN YOUR APARTMENT, DON'T LIVE HERE.

For me, use of the amenities by the public and safety for the residents is a major red flag for this building. Many people are drawn to this building for the pool, basketball court, and gym. While they are nice amenities, know before moving here that they are essentially treated as open to the public with the building management and security doing little to enforce its usage. The pool and gym will always have non-residents there using them, whether there are clients from a trainer being let in... to take up machines or people sneaking in and finding ways to be let up to the pool to party. It's a mess, and building management's consistent reply to issues regarding amenities is that they are a bonus luxury they provide and not something guaranteed as part of the rent. If you pay the high price of rent to live here, I'm sure you'll feel otherwise on if you should have easy use of amenities...

Then, there's the basketball court. At about 4pm every night, don't plan on getting up some casual shots if you're a resident. Anywhere from 20-40 men off the street sneak in and continue to pry the door open to let each other in. They take up the entire space, and security refuses to remove them for two stated reasons: nobody ever listens to them and leaves or some of the security has good relationships with the people off the street and don't want to ruin that. This leads to a large group of people off the street that are unaccounted for being in the building. All from non-residents, there have been fights to break out, threats of violence when you try to leave to walk to your apartment, and guns have actually been pulled out before. Building management has been made aware of these issues frequently and have yet to instill any effective solution. The court is as bad as ever. With the issue being at an all time high, I let the building know that I was not comfortable living here due to my personal safety being questioned stemming from an issue they continue to not only not resolve but seem to be fine allowing. They could care less and won't let me break my lease until they've got all my rent money.

OVERALL, I would suggest going with a different apartment complex if you're looking downtown. This property is a bit too spread out with too much going on that seemingly everything falls through the cracks, and you're left with an apartment where anything goes, even if you don't live here.
