Long Time Resident: Tired of no action
I have lived in this complex for over 3 years and while I appreciate the separate units which offer some level of privacy, there are multiple issues that management needs to address before I would recommend it to others. When I first moved here, the layout of the units with large grassy areas between them seemed like a great way to have one's own space and not interfere with neighbors on a daily basis. However, this is not the case as the neighborhood children frequently invade residents'... privacy by entering patios and coming close to bedroom windows, making it difficult to feel safe in one's own home. They also damage communal plants and fixtures, such as by ripping out flowers, breaking sprinklers, and leaving trash everywhere. Despite being aware of these issues, management has failed to take any action to address them. I personally know 4 other residents that have moved out as a direct result of the children's behavior and I will be the next if the situation does not improve. Additionally, the area is only cleaned up when management is giving tours. Typically the children are reeking havoc around 9808 Jamestown but often go throughout the entire community.
Another prominent issue is that there are not enough trash cans for the number of tenants living here so you’ll have to wait several days to be able to throw it out. Despite the lack of trash bins, this does not stop people from jumping in the bin and ransacking your stuff. I’ve seen someone going through the trash at least twice a month for the past year or two. My only solution is to shred everything and hope I never throw out anything personal.
Another problem is that the washing machines break often and can’t even clean a queen comforter without ripping it to shreds. I’ve tried several different comforters ending in the same result. The dryers also barely work and require more than one cycle for your clothes to dry. A very prominent issue is the toilets barely flush. I’m a 120lb female and break the toilet at least twice a month.
