We are happy to provide both a Pack and Play and/or high chair. These must be reserved in advance and a $25 rental fee will be charged. What started out as an area for members of Congress to live in the late 18th century has now become Washington DC's largest residential historic district. This apartment is located on a scenic residential street, yet you can walk to dozens of fantastic locally owned restaurants, Starbucks, and grocery stores. On weekdays, you can stroll to the Library of Congress, Supreme Court, Capitol, or any one of the many Smithsonian's. Almost all of DC's best sites are within walking distance if you use the metro, with Capitol South and Eastern Market stations just a few blocks away. On weekends, head to Eastern Market to buy unique souvenirs or groceries. Nearby favorite restaurants include Barrel, Ambar, Le Bon Cafe, and Hawk and Dove. Starbucks is one block away.
Guests do not have access to the backyard, and the back door is for emergencies only. There is private outdoor space at the front door of this apartment that you are welcome to use. A family with a small dog lives in the upstairs portion of the home. They do their best to be quiet, but you may hear footsteps or barking. We offer a contactless, self-check-in process. Detailed access instructions will be sent to you 48 hours before your arrival. Then, 8 hours prior to your arrival, you'll receive your unique access code. Smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted anywhere in the interior of our building or within fifty feet of our building, including outdoor spaces. Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke, we will terminate your stay, claim any and all damages, including a $500 smoking fee. Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices, and noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay. In the event of any excess noise, music, gathering, or parties, a representative will respond, and your reservation will be terminated without refund. There is a family that lives upstairs. There may be times where the home needs unexpected or scheduled preventative maintenance. While we do our best not to interrupt your stay, sometimes this cannot be avoided. The fireplace is for decorative purposes only.
