Only affordable place in Plainfield
The only reason to stay at this apartment is because of the affordability. However, that is going away quickly. They have raised the monthly rent $70 in the last 2 years and are now trying to raise it another $99. They claim they are doing "updates" but I have yet to see anything. The only update they have done is install washer/dryer hookups in the apartments but you still have to provide your own appliances. Also, in order to install these hookups they took out the pantry which was the... ONLY storage for the kitchen. The kitchen has little counter space but that must be used to house a microwave because they do not have them above the stove, there is literally nowhere to put food because there are 4 small cabinets, the appliances are outdated, the countertops seem to be so old and they have just painted over them with a sub par paint that rubs off when you wipe it with a rag. There are no lights in any of the rooms so you must use lamps and the switches only sometimes work. The neighborhood is quiet but dirty at times. Stink bugs, mosquitoes, flies, and spiders have run rampant, some apartments have been infested with bed bugs and the trash is always full and no where to put it. The apartment complex is raising their prices but yet they offer 0 amenities. No workout facility, no pool, no playground, no walking trails, no washer and dryer, literally 0 amenities that all the other complexes offer.
