Great Community , POOR Management

I heard and read such great reviews on this complex, which is what led me to choose this location instead of one of the many surrounding apartment complexes.
I took a tour of the community and unit and immediately fell in love so I went forward with signing my lease.

The first issue that I had was that my move in date was in the middle of the month, so after I paid a holding fee, I kindly requested that I push my move in date back 8 days in order to start fresh for the month and of course...
avoid paying for an extra 8 days. This request was denied because they claimed they could not do that for whatever reason. This was not a huge issue but it raised a small red flag in my mind. I figured this was just complaint policy so I moved past it.
The BIG ISSUE is that on move in day, MY APARTMENT WAS NOT READY!!!!! I had several things packed, furniture scheduled to come, etc. only to find that management completely dropped the ball on having my apartment ready. The carpets were filthy, the walls unpainted, bathroom dirty. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!! They told me I could not push my move in date back on my for me to find that my apartment was not even ready on my move in day.
The management then proceeded say “ we didn’t expect you to come this early ON YOUR MOVE IN DAY” which is the most ignorant, ridiculous thing I had ever heard. Not to mention, whether I would have gotten there at 9AM or 5PM the apartment would not have been ready. NOTHING had been done!!!! It was as if the only tenant just moved out the day prior. It was absolutely unacceptable.

They then proceeded to say that they could try to have the contractors come and turn over the apartment that day but by that time .. I had movers and a car full of boxes waiting. And I would have had to wait another day for the walls to be painted. All of this was just a complete disaster.
They then offered me a new unit the same day but wanted me to pay more for the unit. The correct way to solve this would have been to offer a different unit for the price that I signed a contract to pay. Absolutely unacceptable, being the only reason I was moving units was because of their incompetency. Great community, but very poor management!!!

I love dog parks but be careful!!

I took my dog to the dog park here, it is really nice that there is an enclosed area where she can run free. However, while she was playing I noticed a ton of glass shards in the area, this is dangerous for her little paws. There was also a corner of the park where the fence ran along a hill, and wasn't very secure in the ground, and my tiny Shiba Inu could have escaped if she tried to squeeze through.

Aside from the dog park, it's a really nice and quiet area. A bit pricey but you will feel...
safe here.

Favorite apartment complex yet.

Of all the apartments I have lived in, this is the first place I have felt like I am coming home. The best part of this complex is they allow dogs/pets; however, you would never know it. The grounds are kept clear and maintained, the amenities are changing/evolving with the community (ex: new gated dog park near tennis court and pool), and the apartments themselves are kept up to date.
A huge shoutout to the maintenance workers here as well. No matter when or what your issue is, they are there...
in a timely manner and have the issue fixed immediately. I have only experienced this twice while I have lived here and both times were minor issues. One of these times, they needed to replace a pipe in our ceiling. They scheduled it around our schedule so that we were out of town on vacation. My house sitter stopped by and let me know that there were contractors inside my apartment but a representative from the complex were with them. They also call you before and after each time they need to do so. When I came home, you would have never even known any work had been done it was so clean.
Best part of these apartments are the in unit washers and dryers and the soundproofing. I have yet to hear my upstairs neighbor's large dog running and jumping around like they claim he does!
Great place to call home temporarily or long term.
