Great staff and lovely property

I met with Jim who showed me around the property. He was very helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic. He really sold me on the property. The property was very nice, clean, and updated. Great location.

Be Careful before you sign

They’re nice and sweet when you sign up for their properties and when you pay on time !!But when you move out be aware that you will get a big fat final bill.When you sign with them take pictures before you move and ask them to give you receipt of what they did (Carpet, appliances, water heater, AC, etc.). Also ask them to give you Utility Reader numbers before you move in so you don’t have to pay two times when you move out.

Just average

The management is very lazy. I have noticed this on multiple occasions. And management hasn't been able to answer simple questions. I had concerns about maintenance too which seem to be overlooked. Half of my lease the gym was down and the security gate has been down most of the time.

Very unfair

This started in Aug 2016 when I transferred between their 1 bedroom apartment (I was there on a 3 month lease) to one of their 2 bedroom apartments. Evidently the previous tenants did not leave the apartment in good shape and they had to do some repairs. But as I moved in I noticed they changed the carpets to wood looking laminate floors which I could have lived with but then there were multiple issues that were unacceptable to live in. I gave them an additional 6 weeks to get the issues... resolved as I had to go away for training. Upon returning some of the issues were resolved but not all of them and I gave them another 6 weeks to repair the rest but they did not. Sleight paint on the floors, floors taking over a week to clean so they were not sticky, Faucets having crud inside them making the water undrinkable (luckily I had a water purifier) , kitchen sink needed cleaned, not up to electrical code due to no GFCI circuits in the NEC required areas (which is in itself is grounds for immediate termination of the lease due to unsafe living environments and endangering all of the apartment occupants), broken appliance (which is usable but dangerous and was an pretty easy fix), counters and shelves sticky from the paint used (even the parts nothing was set on for over 6 weeks), I don't know what was on the under side of the cabinets in the kitchen but it was so unsanitary and it looks like they tried to clean it by painting over it but was maybe half way successful. I did not hold the rent until they fixed everything which was within my rights. I notified the office of moving out due to these reasons and the reply emails basically ignored the reasons. Granted nothing happened while we were there but the possibility did put my family at risk and the issues were not addressed in any reasonable amount of time.

The corporate office reached out to me today and notified me I owe them for the month of November because they just rented the apartment out as of the November 21 2016, probably after 2-3 weeks of getting the place back up to living conditions. Now I emailed Corporate back and explained everything including my rights under NC GS-42.42 to terminate the lease without repercussions. She in turned emailed me back basically ignoring all the information like nothing ever happened but stating GOOD NEWS only responsible for November rent and water because they rented it November 21 2016
