Great place to live!

I've lived at Bexley at Heritage for 5 years now. It's a quiet area, and the staff is very attentive to my needs. I enjoy my home and have only had a few maintenance requests, but they've all been completed in a timely manner. Looking forward to relaxing by the pool this Summer again!

loooove it

love everything about it maintenance are very nice very polite very helpful
the apartment is sunny and beautiful never seen any bugs at all
its very save for kids to play outside oooh one thing i forgot to say someone stole my son’s bicycle that was the only thing
i had to move to raleigh this year but next year i will go back to bexley

Move in inspection

KEEP A COPY OF YOUR MOVE IN INSPECTION

I contacted multiple levels of management to get help with my deposit. There was a stain when we moved in, and I noted it on my move in inspection. They LOST MY MOVE IN INSPECTION and refused to believe me. Therefore I was charged the full amount of damage.

My time at the Bexley was wonderful and I hate that it ended in such a sour note. Maintenance team was amazing but management seemed to turn over often.

So in all, if you chose to stay here, make...
sure you take photos and keep a safe copy of your move in inspection or email them the problems to cover you as they cannot be trusted to keep up with paperwork.

This property is ok, but...

I was looking for a short-term lease when I decided to move into Bexley at Heritage (building 906 Bear Branch Way) in June. I was hoping for a quiet neighborhood and a nice apartment where I could work and go to school remotely. While a few of my experience have been pleasant, the majority have not.

Pros: Convenient to stores and restaurants
Nice locations for walking/running

Cons: The walls are thin..you can hear everything your neighbors do
** In June I woke up in the middle of the night...
to the people living in the apartment above fighting and a woman screaming for help. The police were called and woman was later arrested. Not sure what happened but when I contacted the leasing office, I didn't get the impression compassion was a priority to them. They did tell me that they were aware of the incident, but they never made any attempts to find out if the neighbors who heard this incidents were OK and/or to assure me that this was an isolated incident.
** My current upstairs neighbors are extremely loud. You can hear when they wake up in the morning. They have a dog that whines and barks throughout the day.
** My neighbors downstairs plays loud music and/or video games at night. I've called the courtesy officer, but I've given up.
** Twice people have tried to enter my apartment thinking it was their apartment.

While I can't speak for the entire apartment community, my experience at 906 Bear Branch Way has not been a good one. All I can say is that my lease is up in a few weeks, and it can't come soon enough.

Our stay was short but sweet. Would live there again in a heartbeat if I had to.

We relocated to NC last summer and we weren't sure how long we would be staying. One of the first things that appealed to us about Bexley was their flexibility with short or long term leases. Communication with the office staff, in general, was excellent. They sent out weekly emails to update us on renovations, notify us of unexpected closings, or to invite us to community events. The office also accepts packages delivered via the post office, UPS, or Fed-Ex, and they would always send an email... when a package had arrived for us. The clubhouse was a fantastic amenity - open 24 hours a day, we could use their computers for printing or internet access, watch TV, or grab a coffee at the Starbucks coffee station. It also houses a fitness center, free to all residents, that had brand new equipment and free weights. The inside of the clubhouse was newly renovated when we moved in, and they continued making improvements while we were living there. The pool is fantastic also - the salt water was so refreshing in the hot Carolina sun and reminded us of the salt water ocean back home. The grounds themselves were immaculate and beautiful. Our apartment was quiet, peaceful, private, and aesthetically appealing. We rented a one bedroom, but it never felt too small - every inch of the square footage was used wisely. Laundry is also available in unit for a small monthly rental fee - about $40 - for a full size washer and dryer. There are no other laundry facilities available, I do not believe. In addition, Bexley offers garage rentals - although there is usually a waiting list - for extra storage space. Maintenance was always responsive, especially when our A/C malfunctioned a few times. They typically arrive within hours and are kind and understanding. For circumstances unrelated to Bexley, we ended up moving back home only 10 months after moving there. Bexley was the one bright spot during our time in North Carolina. If for some reason we ever find ourselves back there, Bexley will be first on our list when finding a place to stay.
