Not a great start

I am giving this a shot even though they didn’t process my lease until the day before I planned to move .The ladies were pleasant but they didn’t process my access to the bldg. So I literally had to wait to someone already with access went in for me to drive in to unpack my belongings. To make this worse my uhaul ended up staying overnight because once I left I couldn’t come back because my access was denied. I had to come in the following day to then start the process for my access. I was... given a sticker to put on my light but as of 9/3/23 the gate does not go up so I have to punch in my code as a visitor . I think for the amount of rent I pay I shouldn’t have to go through all these hoops and still have trouble .

Turn around, run away

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, Meadowbrook Apartments was the gold standard. Unfortunately, over the past 5 years the place has deteriorated. The present leasing management is unprofessional, rude, and what I call headache employees. They will harp what they can't do instead of producing solutions. Cheap carpets, appliances (which may be older than myself), and cabinets add to allure of Meadowbrook. Ventilation which fails to reach the master bedroom. Their solution? Close 3... vents which forces the air to the back room but at the expense to no air in the bathrooms and kitchen. So in summary, the ok apartments with no water sprinklers are overpriced, the management especially the new community director is not acceptable and the development lacks security which recently has become known as a result of police activity. I would recommend anyone contemplating living here to seriously look for other options. Oh, I will say ownership spends a ton of money into landscaping. The place looks nice. If only they spent the money on upgrading the apartments.

DON'T RENT THERE!

I haven't smelled that much smoke since walking down the Las Vegas strip. There are not designated smoking areas and people smoke in their apartments. It seeps into your apartment and gets all in the carpet. The outside lights worked maybe twice in over a year which made for dark and dangerous walks to the car. Abandoned vehicles are repeatedly reported and it takes months before they are ever removed. I've lived in many apartments in several states; this was is the worst since living in the... hood. The appliances are cheap; the apartments are not ada compliant. The apartments are overpriced and now they are charging for water but not based off of actual use (#of occupants/sq ft).
There is lack of amenities-the pool did not open on time, there is no tennis or golf. They've let the grounds become overrun. No one answers the phone in the leasing office. They screwed up my original lease and instead of notifying me and apologizing, they said I better pay or the bill will be sent to collections. They charged me a ridiculous amount to leave even though I abided by the clauses in the lease. One time when I called corporate, the lady transferred me to pizza place. DON'T RENT THERE!

Changed for the worse!

I lived in Meadowbrook for several years. Until the last 18 months I was very happy. The new on site management has changed things for the worse. Amenities such as monthly lunches and breakfasts and weekly community activites have been discontinued. A laundry service has been added (in a complex where every unit has its own washer and dryer.
They are raising rents by huge amounts, and yet allowing major issues to go uncorrected. My building flooded 13 times, entering the apartment at least...
twice. The carpet in the hallway has never been replace and mildew has taken over. Other apartments are dealing with leaking roofs and broken stairways.
There is no "luxury" here except in the price you pay!

Possibly the worst staff on this universe

The staff are rude and belittling to their residents. They lack courtesy and are unprofessional. I had my master bedroom and living room ceiling collapse due to a leaky roof during the cold winter months. Their staff refused to answer my calls and/or emails in regards to repairing my roof. I was forced to get the media involved in order to get them to respond. Unfortunately, this is only one of many issues I’ve had. I could go on and on!
