Worst place to live

This is by far the worst place I’ve lived. It started out perfect!! Then they were bought out and the company just didn’t care about anything anymore. We complained about the mice problem that was extremely constant and we are the cleanest people. You are forced to pay for pest control and yet bugs and mice are constantly coming in? That makes no sense. We brought the problem up and we told them do NOT put harmful traps in our home because we have a cat and they came in when we weren’t even home... and set glue traps, closed doors and didn’t even contact me or my wife about anyone coming in or how many traps were set. Also we have had extreme amounts of black mold and it’s all outside the apartment and me and my wife have had ongoing issues because of it. They called it “discoloration” instead of actually calling it what it is. Did they come and see what it is? No. Did they try to resolve the problem? No. We have plenty of proof of mold inside the apartment. Had a mold kit come from Amazon and it was horrendous what grew from that dish. Also there have been extremely amount of weed coming throughout the house, mind you, I believe in freedom to do whatever you please but this was coming into my house so badly that it started smelling on our clothes and I almost got fired from my job. What does caledon do? Tell me to call the cops if I have a problem with it. Isn’t that YOUR job? Then on top of all of the issues that have continued to pile up, there are strangers walking all throughout out the entire complex breaking into cars, apartments, among other things and we let them know, what do they do? “Call the cops” ok we did now what does that do? All they have to do is get security cameras or anything of security things in place but I guess that would involve them to care about their complex and spend money that they already over charge to begin with. This is the worst place, I wouldn’t possibly recommend this place and I’m letting code of Greenville County know about how awful this place is and what they’ve done. DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS PLACE YOU WILL REGRET IT!! I’m not being dramatic or anything. These are ongoing truth and things that are happening with not just my experience but a lot of other people I have had conversations with that live in the complex.

Not worth the price - Gross & Maintenance is terrible

Pros: Centrally located; apartment is spacious and comfortable; I feel safe in my apartment

Cons: General property is gross; poorly maintained; non-handicapped cars park in handicapped spots; I don't feel safe on the property; pay $55 to use your washer/dryer; maintenance takes 2 months and 4 trips to the office to get anything done

Gross: The pool should be nice, but it's usually filled with bugs, sand, bandaids, chunks of people's weaves, etc. The property promised to powerwash the...
breezeways in early September, and that hasn't happened yet so there's broken bottles and dried trash liquid staining the wood. Often smells like weed.

Poorly maintained: There's nails sticking out of the stairs, the complex's dumpster is always overflowing, and the complex's gym never has any wipes for the equipment

Handicapped spots: I have many folks in my family who need that parking spot and there are handicapped people in my building but it's always taken by a car that doesn't have the appropriate stickers. There's no number for towing and management doesn't go around and check.

I don't feel safe on the property: (I do feel safe in my apartment and in the gym). There's always people yelling in the parking lot and maybe 1/3 of the time I went to the pool there were guys/old men in their street clothes waiting for me to leave so they could harass me. I want to be able to swim in the pool or go for a run without being worried about being watched or harassed.

$55 Monthly Washer/Dryer fee: The stupidest thing I've had to pay for. Management said it's for whenever the washer/dryer people have to come out to fix the appliances, but given that there's 15 buildings and 15ish units per building, I don't really think that the washer/dryers break often enough to warrant that cost from EVERYONE EVERY MONTH. It is nice having the washer/dryer in unit, but paying for it each month just feels like a scam to keep the initial sticker shock of rent down.

Maintenance: The main reason I'm bothering to write this review. It took 2 months to get my garbage disposal fixed (which was broken BEFORE I moved in), and it still isn't fixed 2.5 months later. And now the dishwasher is also broken, there's standing water, and the garbage disposal leaks. Every request I have submitted isn't reviewed until I go into complain about it.

Every year gets worse.

I've lived here since 2017, the first 2-3 years were great, then management changed in 2020, then again in 2021. I must say, I read the other reviews before writing this and I must agree with all of them. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get any information from the front office. There are admins at the front, who are the only ones available, but they don't have any information and cant take any action without the manager. The manager, Nikki, is always busy. I cant tell you how many times i've called in... with questions and was told Nikki would get in touch with me. Time and time again, I get no response, so I have to call back, email and eventually go into the office because they don't respond to any form of communication. Even then, she'll be in her office 10 feet away, but 'too busy' to even come out and discuss with me. You would think the office manager would make time to work with the tenants, not ignore them.... Management is either inexperienced, poorly trained, or just down right rude and unhelpful.

I have had conversation with about 4 other tenants regarding lease renewals, this new management is increasing the monthly rent of most renewals by 15-20%(mine included). Other things that have occurred since new management: not sure if its a tenant thing, but the amount of trash in the parking lots is ridiculous, not sure why maintenance doesn't clean up trash once or twice a week. The new management uses a different portal for rent payment, initially there was a fee to pay by card/bank account (and they also stopped accepting paper checks anymore). After pushback from tenants this was removed. Maintenance requests take twice as long as they did in previous years, the work is terrible and messes are always left in my apartment when the work is done. Previous management used to get the pools cleaned once a year and have the same company maintain the pools. Now I guess either the maintenance crew or nobody maintaining the pools because they are absolutely disgusting this late into the summer: piles of sand on the bottom, dead bugs floating in the water and a film of god knows what on the surface. The pool deck is also filthy, at least spray the deck off with water once a week! All building sidings, walkways and balconies used to be pressure washed once a year in the springtime. This was great because it removed all the dirt that built up, but also removed all the wasp nests that accumulate in these areas. Current management no longer does this.

RUN, Don't walk AWAY from this apartment complex

I was only a resident at this location for under a year... and that was too long. Management was fine for the first few months but since they have switched to the new management.... things are doing downhill fast. They never have answers to questions, maintence takes forever, my ceiling was constantly leaking (was never fixed), cockroaches everywhere, trash overflowing in the dumpster, no sanitation wipes in the fitness area (during a pandemic no less), the front office always has an attitude... and never willing assist with issues that residents are having.

The only positives of living at this apartment complex was my particular building was quiet and neighbors were friendly.

Living in this apartment complex was the WORST headache of my experience in Greenville. I can not stress enough DO NOT live here. There are CHEAPER and NICER options in Greenville than this trash of an apartment complex.

Extremely Unprofessional and Unorganized

Where do I start. They recently have had a change of management and as a result of that management change I now have to find another apartment selection. I had begun the process of renting an apartment with them and when I came back up to submit my papers they informed me that my apartment had not been reserved and that I basically would have to contact who I provided my money to to get a refund. There was no record of my application at all, The new management did not have the decency to do... proper research for a smooth transition. Of course I was frustrated but what was the icing on the cake is when the property manager stated that she would call back with the phone number of the company that I submitted my payment to but she is not obligated to help. As if she was doing me a favor even though this is a result of their unprofessionalism. Extremely nice/nasty of her!
