Old buildings with issues and charges tenants for those issues
Both of my children rented apartments at Southwinds. Both apartments had numerous issues including my daughter having a deep hole in the floor that was just covered with vinyl and caved in when my daughter stepped on the area. It was deep enough she could have broken her ankle. The assistant manager was rude and blamed it on her 8 lb dog. Also reported neighbor smoking marijuana that stunk up her apartment and nothing was done. There were many other issues including heating/air problems, old... broken appliances and many other issues. When their leases were up they charged us right at 1000$ to repair damages caused from the buildings just being old. The assistant manager came to monetary agreement we have on tape but then lied and sent a crazy amount to debt collector. We are turning it over to an attorney. Beware!!!!
