Decent apartments in convenient area
I lived there 17 years so obviously I didn't think it was terrible. Due to it's proximity to the Dallas North Tollway and George Bush Tollway it's in a good spot to get you to most parts of the metroplex fairly quickly.
Staff is nice, and the maintenance crew does a good job.
Parking was not a problem for me because I lived in the east side near Trinity Mills Road. Other parts of the complex can have limited parking.
Internet is served through Spectrum. You could technically get AT&T but... it's literally DSL at 18Mbps which isn't considered broadband.
The apartment buildings have a boiler instead of individual water heaters in each apartment. This means you'll never run out hot water no matter how long your shower is. It also means if the boiler breaks no one has hot water.
The apartment management company likes to nickel and dime you. You're forced to pay for valet trash service whether you want it or not. If you're too lazy to show them a copy of your renters insurance they'll bill you for their own renters insurance.
The leases state when you move out you'll be charged a $75 cleaning fee regardless of how well you clean.
If you need to rent a car and forget to tell the office it will get towed.
If you have visitors you have to register their car on a website to ensure it doesn't get towed. If they're staying for a few days you have to do it every day.
I stayed a long time due to it's proximity to work and because I really liked the layout of my apartment.
When I moved out they didn't make up any extra charges I wasn't expecting outside of the junk fees they were already charging, even though they
Iikely had to gut my apartment entirely due to how long I lived there.
