A total dump
The AC in our apartment has not worked right since we moved in, and it has gotten worse over the past year. The back bedroom in our apartment has no air flow from the vent, and the temperature in the room is usually 85 degrees by the end of the day. My toddler's room used to get cool, but the temperature in his room will now be in the 80s during his nap. Our dining room and kitchen are both usually in the 80s as well. The only room that gets any sort of air flow is the living room, and even then... , the temperature is still much warmer than what we set the thermostat at. We have submitted at least 5 maintenance requests for the HVAC system, and made multiple phone calls and sent emails to the property manager. The first requests were closed out as resolved with nothing being done. In October 2021, the maintenance man who showed up admitted that he had no idea what he was doing, despite the office saying their maintenance team is HVAC certified. In June 2022, maintenance showed up, glanced at the thermostat, glanced in the utility closet, and left without doing anything. We have had to call the office every day just to try to get them to do anything. They sent somebody to clean our vents, but the vendor who came out said the vents aren't dirty. We called to follow up and were told the next step is to make sure our vents are pointing the right way. 2 people from the office have also stopped by and had the audacity to say that it feels pretty good in here. They had just walked in from 104 degree heat, so of course it feels good. Regardless, they don't live here and aren't the ones cooking in a 85 degree kitchen that gets up into the 90s if the oven is turned on. They brought a flyer with them that said not to use heat producing kitchen appliances and to focus on the temperature in your body instead of your home. The AC runs constantly. Our electric bill for June 2022 was nearly $300, for AC that doesn't even work. Our newborn has had heat rash for most of her life. We have had to buy window units for each of our bedrooms to make it bearable to sleep in them, and the office has told us they need to be removed. We currently have a dishwasher that doesn't work and has an inch of stagnant water in it. When we submitted the maintenance request, the request was closed out. We now have to hand wash dishes in our hot kitchen. This place is a dump, and to add insult to injury, it's abysmally managed. Make sure you bring a few window air conditioners if you move in.
