Former Resident, rent is getting higher with nothing to show for it
We moved out recently due to job relocation but most likely would have moved out regardless at the end of our lease, as whatever is going on with neighboring tenants and management has just gotten increasingly worse over the past year. The staff and maintenance themselves are very nice, but otherwise the state of the complex itself is increasingly dirty and disorganized while the rent climbs higher, as compared to when we first moved in three years ago.
Valet trash is unreliable and will just... drag trash bags through the halls and sometimes just not take them out and/or leave them on the outside curbs in the middle of summer, so the buildings stink and trash is littered all over the hallways. There's dog poop EVERYWHERE in grassy areas and on the sidewalks, it is unavoidable at this point. Both pools went uncleaned for so long during this summer that they were green and filled with leaves. The fitness center was half constantly closed and half "soon to be 24 hours," for the entire time we were there. One of our newer neighbors had audible domestic incidents happening practically every month.
When we moved out we were charged for anything possible and given vague reasons as to why; with the amount of other tenants we saw also moving out in the months before we did, management is losing money and doing whatever they can to make a cent back from any tenant that's getting out. Do yourself a favor and move in elsewhere.
