Location, amenities and overall attention from management throughout the application to move-in date are outstanding and greatly appreciated. I look forward to future residence at Elofts.

I’ve been living here for about 9 months now and will start off by saying don’t get swindled into living here because it’s “luxury”. Literally the only thing I like about living here is the amount of apartment space you get for a 1 bedroom compared to everywhere else I looked. You are paying for the space not the luxury. I’ve had so many issues and I haven’t even been here a year.
- my dishwashers racks were rusted and the filter inside was filthy. When I called for maintenance they just... replaced the racks . Not even inspecting for other issues.
- at first there were no assigned maintenance staff! The guy who worked on a garbage disposal issue was from another property. He even told me how bad the maintenance is at the apartment. Like that’s crazy ! When I first moved into apartment the hot water tank room door was open, and me not knowing I opened the door thinking it was a closet . A small blue tank fell towards me and I immediately closed the door. The same guy told me that it could have been way worse and was relieved that I was ok. He had to make with what he had and drill zip ties to hold the tank up TEMPORARILY. He proceeded to say that it is still not safe and it may not hold for too long. Nothing has been done since then even after their so called “inspections”.
- I was locked out of my apartment. I sat in the hallway for 3 hours until someone finally came and that’s when I was told that my request was not an emergency. After I called over 30 times. Another resident sat with me until they came for my safety.
- my fridge has dents in it from slamming against the wall since a piece of the fridge is broken. Apparently there is no fix for that.
- sometimes when I cut my bathroom water on first thing in the morning it smells like rotten eggs. I think that comes from bacteria in the pipes or something . It isn’t harmful but def not the first thing I want to smell in the morning.
- my kitchen faucet is packed with gunk and hard water stains that of course I have to fix myself. But it was like that when I moved in. Didn’t think I had to put in a work order for cleaning!
- I clogged my toilet and put in a work order for them fix it. They came and cleared the bowl out but the next time I tried to use the toilet the water that comes from the rim was not working. Literally had tissue sticking to the sides. Not even two days after the toilet clogged again b/c it wasn’t getting the proper water flow to push everything down.

Prefacing this with this is my own personal opinion. I lived here for a year and did not renew my lease because I dreaded nearly every second of it. I’m am so excited to move out. The building is poorly constructed, so if you are sensitive to noise, this place is not for you. I went to bed every night, for a year, with air pods or ear plugs in because I had neighbors above me that liked to stomp around during the day when I was working from home and until 2 or 3 am. I rarely enjoyed a moment of... peace or quiet in my apartment and it did not feel like a home because I was always anxious and could never relax. I complained several times to management to please warn my neighbors to tread lightly. They rarely responded and the one time they did, they said to get used to “apartment noise”. Even after letting them know I slept with ear plugs. Honestly, I felt deceived moving into this building because I broke my lease at my prior apartment (due to the same issue but 10x worse), to move here under the guise that there is absolutely no noise and because there is concrete in the ceiling, that it is impossible to hear footsteps. That was a lie. Turnover in management is also frequent. Management changed three times during the period I was there, so it’s difficult to form any consistent communication or relationship with management teams. All in all, if you’re ok with noise then you may enjoy your unit, and there is a lot of space and nice windows with good natural light. But all of that is not worth living here. I am not sure if the noise is consistent throughout the building and I got unlucky with my unit. But I wouldn’t risk taking the chance because once you sign the lease you are stuck unless you want to pay 4K+ to break your lease.
