My experience living at Honeywood Apartments
While living at Honeywood we were greeted very kindly and shown a nice one bedroom apartment and lived there for about 2 years. However, the problem came in the lease itself. They charge various "fees" that do not seem to have any reason behind them other than to nickel and dime their residents. The biggest one being their 300$ pet fee. Most apartments charge a non refundable pet deposit so that it will be used to renovate your apartment should you ever move out to pay for pet damages. ... However, Honeywood charges this as a "Fee" which means that it is a 300$ charge for your pet to be allowed in the apartment and you must pay monthly rent for that pet as well. This means that all of the money you give them is for the privilege of your animal to be there and when you move they will hit you with a massive charge to renovate your vacant apartment and none of the money you have provided will be used towards that. I am giving them a 2 star review and not a 1 star because the maintenance, grounds works, and lifeguards I interacted with were extremely nice and helpful. However, the main office and leasing group seem to lack integrity & forthrightness about the cost of living in Honeywood Apartments.
