Love it!

Janira in the office is amazing! Super sweet, does anything she can to help. Honest. Apartment is awesome. I am in a classic unit , but no complaints this far. Neighbors are super friendly and kind, never hear noise. School district is amazing! Go Tabb Tigers! And the size of the apartment is nice. I would definitely recommend living here. Nice apartment for sure!

Look Someplace Else

This is the worst living experience I've ever encountered. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. We had so many issues I don't even know where to begin. We were in a bottom apartment and we had the upstairs neighbors poopy toilet water leak into our apartment THREE times before the staff would finally come fix their toilet. It's disgusting wiping someone else's dirty toilet water off your walls. We had a ton of different piping and water issues throughout our stay there. We... tried putting in our notice 3 days before our 60 day notice rolled around and the lady in the office told us we had to wait the extra 3 days to put in our notice. It wasn't made clear that we only had one specific day to end our lease so we went in a week later to talk to her again, and she told us that we now have to pay even more since that's when our 60 days would start. I've never heard of only having one specific day to put in a notice. It's all very frustrating considering how calm we've stayed throughout all the other issues we've faced while staying there. Wouldn't be surprised if they try to take even more money for "repairs" after we move out. This place isn't worth the cost at all.

Its alright if you're in a bind

I'll come out and say it, this is my first time living in an apartment and first time renting.

PROS:
- The girls in the office are very friendly and helpful.
- Ability to move in quick and complete 95% of paperwork ahead of time
- Every maintenance request so far was addressed within an hour and fixed within 24 hours.
- There are babies in every unit in my building that I've never heard. The only sound that really travels is slamming doors.
- Complex is in a GREAT school district
- People are...
VERY friendly. We moved from the deep south where people were friendly in order to be nosy, here people are genuinely friendly and willing to help out, recommend sitters/restaurants/commute directions without blabbing to the rest of the neighbors everything they've learned.
-Right next to Langley, jets all day VERY close starting at 7 am.

Cons:
- The units are CHEAP: mix-matched paint on the same walls, 2" caulk lines,, carpet is fraying at edges, visible paint lines, hardware is plastic that is painted to look like chrome, all doors painted shut.
- No built-in microwave as advertised, refrigerator was broken upon arrival
- Common grassy areas are filled with dog poop and FLEAS, we have to spray our dog before and after every walk to keep them at bay along with her monthly "dips" at the groomers
- Unless you are active duty PCSing out of the area there is no getting out of the lease. We had planned to stay here for a few months until we closed on a house. Per the lease, we are still responsible for payment on our unit throughout the length of the contract regardless if we are living here.
- Front door hardware is a cheap quickset lock, would be very easy to kick in, common keycode available at WalMart.
- Pool is a little gnarly. Been in several times and always large clumps of dark hair floating, dirt on the bottom, lots of bugs.
- Whoever lived in our unit before was dirty, there is a half inch thick layer of grime on top of the shower surrounds and on top of outlet/switch covers, dirt lines on the top of baseboards, carpet smells of pet urine.
- LOTS Of spiders. Our patio is full of them including one who is immune to all my attempts at death/relocation. have found several inside as well.
- Our unit backs up to the woods. the ground does not drain and it is a mosquito haven after every light drizzle. We cannot go outside at all for days until it dries up without bathing in bug spray. I can only assume this buffet is how Steve got to be the size he is.

Decent

The staff here is excellent. The leasing office and maintenance staff quickly respond to any issues you may have. The apartments themselves are older units that have been updated. The updates were done quickly and aren't of the best quality, but are sufficient. My main issue is that I am on the ground floor and the ceiling is very squeaky when the people upstairs walk. I happen to have upstairs neighbors that move around constantly so it can be annoying. The a/c vent is in the living room... and is very loud. If you are watching tv, you have to turn the tv up when the a/c or heat kicks on. There is ample parking and the neighborhood itself is decent and the school district is excellent. The price is comparable for the area, but I feel they should have took more time with the updates for the price. Also, the tennis court and basketball "area" are run down and need work.
