Poor management
I am a resident of The Hawthorn Apartments in Mill Creek, WA and would like to express my dissatisfaction with community management. It is unacceptable and, I shall be looking for the legal support to address a gross mismanagement of the residents property as well as, this experience will be included in every media providing feedback and reviews of this community.
I have moved from the unit CCxxx to the unit Axxx, January 25-27th, 2019. My move was due to health condition, looking to exclude... additional stair climbing.
Unit Axxx has experienced a leak and had new flooring in living area installed. There was prominent bubbling in a few areas. I have notified the leasing office. A vendor representative was scheduled for Friday afternoon (Feb 1st, 2019) there was no exact scheduling or time provided.
As I have return to my home, there was the vendor with my home key in hand. This is NOT acceptable! There was no representative of the community present and no phone call made to notify me about the random stranger entering my home with the key!
I have an alarm system always armed when I am not home and community management as well as leasing office are provided this specified code to enter. This was not mentioned to the vendor about to enter my home.
If door was opened, there will be police visit in seconds and payment required for false alarm. I have repeatedly asked to keep this is mind, we have had an accident once already. I shall make sure, community is paying for neglecting behavior.
It is not possible to understand the reason of giving this vendor my key as, without my presence, they would not find or be able to fix the issue. Therefore, why was the key provided to freely enter my home!?
I have spoken on the phone with the agent, she has explained, she did not check if, there is an alarm system to my unit. There are few units to have security systems, she was not aware of this.
She has indicated, she spoke to the service team and the team confirmed it is no problem to enter my home.
No confirmation with me or a phone call to check in with me was provided.
This is not acceptable treatment of the residents. I shall be highly recommending for the new residents not to move into this community due to disrespect of the privacy and mismanagement of the property.
Highly hope, this will be addressed before the legal action is taken.
Regards,
Ingrid
