Robbery

Avoid this at any cost! Motorcycle stolen and response from management was very poor. Little to no availability of garages as well with very long wait times. Stay away!

Please rent elsewhere

Fleas. Office staff either under qualified or underperforms. Dishwasher leaks. Toilet doesn’t flush properly. Hot water not working upon move it. They won’t tell you when they treat for fleas, so there is no way to tell if apartment is safe to enter. Worst renting experience to date.

Worst Apartment

This is the worst apartment ive ever lived in, for many reasons. For of all, they didn't even show us the apartment even when asked. So the pictures they show online for the one bedroom ate misleading. Very small apartments very an expensive price. Then the add on so many fees, even to get packages delivered, or to use the gym! They don't always show up for work orders, twice they asked to clear off my porch so they can pressure wash and no one showed up. They have started working as early as 7... am so forget trying get rest, everyone is on their time. When they do work orders they give you a weeks time, no specific days and expect you to be ready for them, no planning ahead with your pets. Black mold is a serious problem. They have old appliances. Situations that would be serious, they don't take serious. Such as, a malfunctioned building alarm that went off for 10 days and beeped every 6 seconds. Or a flood from upstairs, they ran a fan on our electrical bill to dry out the dry wall but we can still see the drywall studs, almost a month later! We had to stay in our living room and use our bedroom as storage because the floor caused moisture in our carpet and mildew smells. For a couple months and we asked them to finish the job or reduce our rent, we emailed the manager to email the property managers and thought the situation was fixed! They never answer their phones and take very long lunches. The lack of respect for tenants is little to none. We asked to move to another apartment, especially because of the flood and we would have to apply and pay fees like we are new residents, they do not honor their current residents. Then when you discuss you'll look other places and apply, and you do, they refuse to verify that you are living here because you didn't give proper notice. Proper notice is a signed paper with forwarding address.. How am I supposed to put down a forwarding address if I don't have one!!?! People do not clean up after their pets, the apartments are paper thin, stray cats everywhere. One dumpster that stinks and is full, always! Don't let the price fool you, they can renovate all they want, these apartments are far from luxury and you'll be miserable.

Good No major problems

I have lived here for two years and have just signed another year lease. The apartments are average. Insulation is not very good and you can hear your neighbors almost all day long. Some pet owners do not pick up after their pets so some of the grassy areas can be gross. The office and maintenance crew are awesome though. Really friendly and get things fixed right away. The apartments are a little pricey but you have and indoor and outdoor pool and a brand new gym. One of my only issues was... water, sewer and garbage fluctuate each month depending on the complexes usage. It is not a set amount. I have been happy here though.

Happy Puppy, Happy Owners

Black Lake Apartments is the only complex I have ever seen with an on-site leash free, fenced in dog park. It's small but to our 5 year old chihuahua it's an open field. The first night in our place we caught him sitting on the deck watching the kids playing in the park like setting below. The only negative I can give is that when we moved in the windows were dirty, rusty, sweating in between the panes and the screens were dusty.
