HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Do not consider moving in to this community if you do not want to risk having your money taken from you. Upon moving in last year, my husband and I found the community to be well-maintained and the staff to be very helpful. We resided in a one-bedroom apartment and had to reduce our vehicles to just one due to the limited parking, which was nearly nonexistent on the street. Our apartment windows overlooked a busy 4-way intersection on Los Feliz, and the constant noise from cars racing through at... all hours became a major disturbance, waking us up and causing stress. The noise from motorcycles was even worse, penetrating through closed windows. There was also a nearby train station, adding to the disruptive noise with frequent horn blasts. Despite our efforts to cope with the nightly disruptions, our peace was consistently shattered.

We were compelled to terminate our lease prematurely due to my health issues and my husband's new job, resulting in us having to pay nearly $3,000. When I attempted to negotiate a lower termination fee, considering our financial strain from having a newborn, we were informed that the stipulated fee was non-negotiable and our options were to pay or continue staying in the unit. It seemed clear that the community management prioritized rent collection above the well-being of its residents.

My overall experience with this community has been utterly distressing. All of our $600 security deposit was withheld, despite my extensive efforts to thoroughly clean the unit all through the night. It is baffling to see that we were charged $170.00 for cleaning services, and an additional $217.75 for wall painting in the entire one-bedroom space. This is especially confounding as the living room walls already had existing stains and scratches when we moved in, which were documented during the initial inspection. During our short stay we kept the apartment very well maintained. We even attempted to conceal these damages during our occupancy.

My wife and I moved into The Griffith about 8 months ago and we have absolutely loved it! We have loved our apartment since we moved in, spending many hours cooking various cuisines in our kitchen and hanging out in our living room and on our balcony. Considering I work remotely, our unit (which includes a loft) has been an excellent place for me to set up an office and work efficiently while getting plenty of natural light throughout the day. With regards to the amenities, we've used the pool,... jacuzzi, and gym countless times throughout the year. Overall, the quality of each has been great. The close location to Glendale and Atwater Village has allowed us to walk or make a quick drive to local restaurants and stores as well as attractions including Griffith Park, the LA Zoo, the Autry Museum of the American West, and The Americana. Our neighbors have been very pleasant as well. Everyone has been very respectful and considerate, especially during the early mornings/late evenings. Lastly, we love the safety, security, and cleanliness of the property. The property has always felt safe and secure. We love the intercom access and having the ability to give our delivery drivers access codes to drop off our packages. Having food delivered has been a breeze as well. On top of that, the cleanliness of the property has been exceptional. Every time I leave my apartment I always see someone cleaning the grounds and keeping the public areas tidy. My wife and I really appreciate that in an apartment community. Wrapping things up, I would like to give a huge shoutout to the team that runs the property. From Steven and Emmanuel in management, to Enrique in maintenance, and last but not least, the incredible cleaning crew, everybody has done a phenomenal job with making us feel right at home. Thank you again!

Everything at the The Griffith has been amazing from my first apartment viewing to move-in. The staff is very caring and detail oriented - making every step as easy as possible. The building is beautiful, well-maintained and safe. My neighbors are all kind and respectful - couldn't ask for more.
