DO NOT RENT HERE
DO NOT RENT HERE!
I esigned my lease from my hospital bed 2 days after my heart transplant. I spoke with the property manager and told him I am on a 12-month program at Cedars-Sinai. A few months later I noticed that the lease is actually 14 months. I have tried for months to reduce the penalty if I leave after one year, which I have to for medical reasons. One month penalty period. Zero flexibility. I have lived at Avalons in the past and the property managers have always tried to come up with... a solution. Not here. All I get is "that is what the computer says". So if you are willing to rent from an automated response system, and hopefully you don't have a medical emergency, by all means have at it. Luckily I survived the surgery and my recovery is on track for the 1 year program. But I feel compelled to warn anyone considering moving here this is what to expect from this particular Avalon.
