The main thing to know is that there are two towers- the 965 Sutter St. tower (AKA Sutter) and the 840 Post St. tower (AKA Post) with a courtyard in between them. Don't live on the 1st floor of Sutter. Everyone walks through there to get to their apartments. Avoid living in Post entirely. There's no access on Post St. unless you have a car and can get in through the garage. That means walking an extra block north (up a steep hill) to enter on Sutter, just to walk back south through Sutter, out... into the courtyard and into Post on the 4th floor. Avoid living on the 4th floor entirely since so many people walk by. Living in Post also means any deliveries from Postmates, Doordash etc, must be met on Sutter St. You also don't want to live in Apt 202 of Post. The laundry room is right next door (In Sutter it's in the basement not near any apartments). It's smaller than the one in Sutter so it's likely all the machines will be in use and you'll have to wait or go to Sutter. But you'll have to go to Sutter anyway because the machine to buy or refill your laundry card in Post has been broken for months. Hot water in Post at certain times of the day can also be an issue. Finally, package delivery is a BIG problem. The website advertises package acceptance and is an outright lie. You're at the whim of the delivery person. There's separate Amazon lockers and mailboxes for each building. Sometimes delivery people will put packages in the Amazon locker (even if they aren't from Amazon), on the floor outside the locker, in your mailbox or on the floor outside your mailbox. Sometimes they'll leave packages for Post in Sutter. Sometimes they'll leave packages at the unmanned front desk of Sutter. You will NOT be notified it's there nor will they bring it to your apartment. Instead the policy is to return the package to the sender if you don't pick it up. There's also someone stealing packages. The building knows about it but doesn't do anything. They'll email residents incessantly about not parking in employee spots and other parking issues but only one email has been sent to residents about the package issue and it didn't even acknowledge that they know there's a thief.
So overall, if you can live in Sutter and don't get anything delivered, you'll probably like it. But if you live in Post and/or get anything delivered, you're probably going to feel like me- frustrated and annoyed that you're paying just as much as others who don't have to deal with any of these issues.

No heat in the hallways. Bridge between buildings always has puddles due to uneven concrete pouring.

I am very disppointed with how they treat their residents. Irreponsives with urgent services even after multiple reminders.

Awesome complex so far! Staff is super nice and helpful! A little pricey for my taste BUT I've been told I found a good place for a good price!
