Don't live here.
This was the second time I have lived in these apartments. And I came back because I enjoyed my rental in 2016 before I took another job and had to move in 2018. The owners back then were far better. This time, I was astounded by the new owners' lack of attentiveness, how expensive this complex had become, the rude staff, and how unwilling they are to help when you ask for assistance.
If you plan to live here, here's what to expect:
1. Expect your rent to get raised without notice (it was... raised 10% this year, which is why I left. I was told it was raised to cover the cost of a new roof installation).
2. Don't expect to get your full deposit back even if you do everything right (they took more than $200 off mine for last-minute charges).
3. Clean the absolute hell out of your apartment before leaving. If you miss small things like your ceiling fan blades, they will charge you $60-$120 to clean something that takes 5 minutes to dust.
4. Expect to wait 60 days to get what's left of your deposit back.
5. Expect the staff to sound inconvenienced each time you call.
6. Expect the office to be closed almost every single time you go fill your laundry card or chat with someone in person.
7. Expect the laundry card machine to not work more than half the time.
8. If you're getting maintenance done and you work from home, plan on the maintenance guy pounding on your door unannounced and with abandon until you answer. Doesn't matter if you are in the middle of doing things like having work meetings.
9. Expect them to stand back and do literally nothing when you report a disturbance in your complex.
10. Expect weed coming through vents from other units (even though this is prohibited in your lease).
11. Expect rusty pipes and dirty water (I have a Zero water filter and there was an orange film that got left behind before my water was filter).
12. Pet owners who don't pick up after their dogs.
13. No ventilation or fan in your bathrooms so it gets muggy in your apartment after you shower.
14. No air conditioning and your thermostat in the winter is either no heat or Satan's hellscape.
15. Illegal dumping at your nearest dumpster.
Regina (a past employee) and Erin were the only nice people I interacted with when I could get in touch with someone. They offer a Flex payment system where they split your rent.
Overall, I don't recommend living here. It's overpriced for the state it's in. The new owners are very greedy and don't really care about their residents.
