PLEASE DO NOT RENT ROACHES ARE CRAZY
The apartment itself is decent, with pretty spacious rooms and a fair amount of living space. Rent fluctuates a lot, which can be frustrating, so it’s important to leave before your lease ends—if you stay past it, be prepared for hefty charges.
However, the biggest downside is the roaches. They’re really bad here. There are so many cracks in the floorboards, and I mean a lot, so they have plenty of places to hide. You’ll probably see one every couple of days, and even though we’ve tried bug... spray and called maintenance to handle it, nothing seems to work. The roaches are huge too, with baby ones crawling around. It’s the only bug you’ll see in the apartment, but it’s a constant problem.
The hallways are another issue—there are spiders everywhere, and I’m not exaggerating. Dust and cobwebs seem to never be cleaned up properly, and some spots are just really bad.
Management is okay. If you call for maintenance or a lockout, they respond fast, usually the same day, which is a plus. But, unfortunately, the maintenance can’t seem to fix the roach issue despite multiple requests.
The pool is almost always dirty, and the gym is pretty mediocre—if you’re into cardio, it’s fine, but there aren’t many other machines.
Pros for out-of-state movers: If you’re moving from out of state, this is a good place to settle. You don’t need a current job or residence to move in, and the transit is very convenient, with bus 79 right outside the complex that takes you to multiple transit hubs in the area.
If you can tolerate the pests and want the space, it’s an alright place, but the roaches and hallways full of spiders really bring it down.
