Weak Management

They partnered with a towing company and are assuming no responsibility on their end with the clear issues the agency has. DO NOT LIVE HERE if you want to have any guests. Barely any visitor parking, if there are no parking spots available I’m told my guest has to park off site…which is the gas station down the street???? AND IF YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH to find a parking spot fingers crossed your guests car still doesn’t get booted (yes this actually happened). I’m posting it here because the... property manager keeps shrugging off complaints from residents. PLEASE change towing agencies. I’m all for having parking enforcement, but elevate haw river continues to make decisions that are only hurting residents.

High Voltage

I don't normally leave poor reviews, but I can't help it this time around, but I will try to keep it short.


The management are horrible, they smile with you but they don't do things in your best interest. I was paying an electric bill of $178 in the summer and they told me it was normal, even when we were never at home to use the electricity. When I complained to Duke, they said everything was normal from their end, but my power consumption (voltage) was running at the highest in the apartment...
and I was advised to complain to the management.

I did complain, but they told me that the outrageous electricity was a norm and they had people who pay similar fee? I didn't understand if I was running a plant because all I had was an extra deep freezer. Everything else came with the apartment.

No parking

If you have more than one person expected to be on your lease or would like to have any guests over anytime, PICK SOMEWHERE ELSE. They allow 1 parking sticker per lease regardless of how many people are on the lease. The visitor parking and clubhouse parking is super limited and gets entirely filled by around 7pm every single day. The leasing consultant stated if all visitor parking is filled you have to park offsite which the only offsite option is an ABC store or Gas station?? Not safe. If you... want to live here or visit expect to walk a mile to your apartment.

Hot mess!

I usually am not one to complain but the service that I received from Elevate Haw River was terrible. Let me start out by saying Jocelyn is a saint and is very helpful. My husband and I were approved to move into one of their townhomes, move in date was scheduled for 4/22/2022. WIth no fault of Elevate's the townhouse availability dates have been moved back three times (duke energy has been slow with new construction) April 29th and then May 6th which is when we were supposed to move in. We were... contacted last week being told that the move in date would be pushed back once again to May 20th BUT we would be allowed to move into a two bedroom apartment on May 6th since that was our original move in date and that is the date our lease is up at our current apartment. My husband called yesterday (May 3rd) to ask if we could get a garage on the property since we are moving and do not have enough space in the two bedroom, to be told that we would NOT be allowed to move into a two bedroom apartment. IF my husband would not have called them, we would have never known that when we showed up on Friday with all of our belongings! Dusty was not helpful at all in providing a solution and her attitude towards us was unprofessional. When I asked for an explanation/reasoning of why we were told that we could stay in a two bedroom until the townhomes were ready and then FOUR DAYS before we moved all of a sudden we couldn't, no answer was given and then she claimed there was no availability... but there is multiple two bedroom apartments available now on their website. I would not recommend Elevate Haw River to anyone.
