Management lacks empathy, urgency, and kindness

Horrible experience here with the management both condescending and lacking in urgency when it comes to getting anything done.

Takes days to get a response from anyone in the front office and when you do they are unwilling to work with to solve the issue at hand.

Horrible Management and Leasing Team

Management has no sense of urgency when it comes to anything important. On top of that, within our two years of renting here they went through 3 leasing team changes, each seemingly worst than the last.

Which brings me to the current team - who completely ruined our wonderful stay here at the Carter with their ineptitude and lack of care when it came to keeping our residency as we wanted to resign and they made no effort to keep us. In fact it took them three emails and over 4 days to get a...
reply into our inquiry about resigning.

On another note, They also rented the same apartment above us at a cheaper rental rate (newer tenants) than offered to us in any of our renewals. The property manager also condescendingly and rudely remarked about our potential new property as well just based on its age, extremely unprofessional.

They truly do not care if you are a great tenant and do very minimal in terms of trying to keep you in the community besides raising rent when nothing is changing and the building is only getting older.

Please look elsewhere in Redmond with all the new buildings and apartments coming out, you’ll be able to find not only a more competitive rate but also a friendly and more engaging office staff.

One of the only positives about this leasing team is the maintenance staff.

Beware if you're from out of state

I had short notice for a job promotion and admittedly I wasn't able to research as good as I would want to so I want to share this review for someone who is maybe out of state and can't go visit first.

1. Apparently it is "common" for floor plans in Washington to have all concrete flooring. Sure, you can buy some throw rugs but if that is new to you it is very cold and really makes the apartment feel incomplete. Throw in the 0 cabinets and you just have walls and concrete and that's it. Not...
the "premium" feel I was expecting. In fact, with the "energy saving lights" I felt like I was in a dog pound or the basement of a dive bar. Add in one window facing the next apartment building it was just over dark and gloomy and depressing little apartment.

2. My apartment was right above the parking garage, and it was faulty which caused it to go up and down constantly. For the 1 week I stayed I struggled sleeping with the noise from the garage. Mix in the noise of the city (this I knew about beforehand but just sharing for those who aren't thinking about that) and it was just loud all the time.

3. 0 service (had both ATT and Verizon phones) which meant I had to leave my apartment to make a call.

4. The office. I don't like putting down people as I get that it is their job to make sure that they don't say anything that could get them in trouble. That said, there was 2 people who worked there. One was new and I swear 4 different times I requested something (I need my mailbox key, what's the pin for the letting people in, parking spot etc.) she insisted she didn't know the answer and would get back to me. She never did I had to walk down and legit catch the other person working to get help. The main person seemed to just act confused as to why I didn't like the apartment and really couldn't be bothered with me. I never received a tour of my apartment or the amenities on arrival. Also, I had one interaction with their Maintenace guy and man is he creepy. I would not feel comfortable leaving a young lady in the apartment alone with him

Overall, I tried one last plea to see if maybe I could at least switch apartments and she said, "I'll have to call and figure out what we can do". I really was just so fed up and tired of it all that I decided to break the lease. I asked if they could do anything but instead, I was left paying over 6000 dollars.

Really the worse experience I have ever had with apartments.

Absolutely no regard for current or prospective residents' time

I've been a renter for 13 years, and have never had an experience this bad. Had to call multiple times to get a tour scheduled. Travelled 45mins to get there, and there's no one in the office. In the afternoon! No answer on any follow-up phone calls, and no one showed up even after waiting for an hour. Had a chance to speak to some residents who were also waiting for someone, since no one was answering maintenance phone calls either. Their advice... apts are nice, but experience with management... is so poor it's not worth it.

First time I've ever felt annoyed enough to write a review about anything, and that includes Comcast and AT&T customer support.

Verified Renter

quiet, nice living space, no overly noisy neighbors, grocery store is a approximately 5 minute walk away, shopping mall is fairly close by. Overall an excellent atmosphere. Personally I would say great place if you want a quiet life or plan to raise/have kids, pretty nice city, and various restaurants nearby if you want anything "special." 10 out 10 review from me.
