Avoid at all costs

We’ve lived here at Kensington Park for almost a year and when we were looking around at apartments, this place seemed perfect. Sometimes things truly are too good to be true. Our move-in was a disaster - the apartment was promised to us on a specific day so we made all arrangements to get our stuff packed and moved from our previous home only to show up at the office and be told that the apartment wasn’t ready. They couldn’t be bothered to call us the day before or even earlier that day. After...
two hours of waiting, we could finally head upstairs and begin unloading. There were many problems and all were reported to the office at move-in. It took them over a month to fix the blinds in the living room (our apartment faces I-35 so that was great) and over a month to fix the ice maker in the freezer. All the while, I’m 8 months pregnant, sweating like crazy, and begging the office staff to please make these repairs. They lied and said the repairs had been done when they hadn’t been and I had to keep calling, emailing, and complaining, only to be made to feel like an idiot.

Additionally, they didn’t have time to deep clean our apartment before we moved in and promised it would happen after we moved in and it never did. Fast forward and we’ve had our toilet overflow (no fault of our own) and instead of pulling back the laminate and fixing the flooring, they gave us a fan and wished us luck. The flooring still doesn’t lay flat and I am certain there is mold under there.

the water has been shut off complex-wide for going on 36 hours. management seriously dropped the ball with communication. We found out at noon on Friday that we had lost water. Not everyone has access to internet during the day and many found out after arriving home. We didn’t receive our next update until after midnight on Saturday. Our next update came and said water would be restored at 3pm. At 4:30p, there was still no water. At 4:40p, we got an email telling us to fill our tubs and jugs and that water would be restored temporarily and cut off again after two hours. No resolution or estimated time for restoration. Here it is, after 9pm on Saturday, going on 36+ hours without water, unsure when it will return. I have an infant. She needs formula, made with water. I understand leaks and repairs happen but the management here doesn’t care how this affects their residents. And no word from management. No cases of water at the office or gallon jugs

No pool, no hot tub

Our pool hasn’t been open all summer and it’s mid-July. Management blames it on the city with zero additional explanation or updates. We are regularly reminded of all of the many ways we’ll be fined including a weekly reminder of parking permits being required. And yet I haven’t witnessed a single tow truck on property actually enforcing the rule. .. management switched months ago and it has been an awful experience. I used to

Very Slow Maintenance, Pool Still Not Open

The staff is very friendly, but maintenance is nonexistent. I cannot cook without drip pans for the stovetop (how long does that take?). I also can’t dry my clothes because the dryer vent going outside is stopped up. The patio blinds don’t work, either.

It’s almost the 4th of July weekend and the pool is not open yet. The dog poop station near me is overflowing. I have been told that Maintenance is busy fixing air conditioners.

Do not move here if you expect things to work in your...

Nice place to live

I lived here before and came back about a year later. That says alot right there! I recently had a maintenance request and when completed, they had gone above and beyond:) I'm happy here!

The best ive ever lived at

I'm normally a negative reviewer, but I loved living here. I have had a real sense of community here. The staff is top notch. Danielle, and especially Lindsey and Michelle were very helpful, and patient getting me into my new home. The facility has a pool, hot tub, gym , indoor basketball court, and my favorite a private theater. Not many use it so I've had some amazing solo theater experiences. Maintenance Is also a dream compared to past apartment experiences. I never had the feeling like I... was putting someone out no matter how small the request. They seem happy to help, and that's a BIG PLUS. I hate to move. This has been the best apartment experience of my life. If you're looking to move in call Michelle or Lindsey. They are the best of the best, and it shows. I hate to move from here, but I appreciate everyone who works here.
